My favourite Japanese / Asian dessert in Toronto! Super friendly staff. Matcha Anmitu bowl is a must-try.

The matcha ice cream was so good! But the small rice cake was hard and disappointing. Similarly, the cream puffs weren't good because the cream was frozen and the texture was weird.

Got the matcha float here. Loved that the taste of matcha was rich, intense and not overly sweet. I just wish the cup was bigger because the ice cream could barely sit up in it. They also filled half the cup with ice....And at $12, it was criminally overpriced. Bloom and Tsujiri have matcha sundaes for less than $10.

No hot matcha latte available, even after they were closed for 1 week. Iced matcha latte tastes bad. Not just too bland, bitter or sweet. Simply not good at all. Price is also the highest I've seen ($10 for latte with soy milk and HST).

Japanese dessert shop

Saryo Cafe is a Japanese dessert shop connected to Konijiki Ramen. It's a very convenient spot to stop in and grab some dessert after dinner (especially if you had ramen in the same shop!).The staff was nice and there were a few seats by the entrance, but it is very limited seating so my friends and I had to awkwardly stand as the seats were taken and it was cold outside. We moved when people were coming in and out, but it did feel like we were in the way and there wasn't anywhere else to go.What I got:Matcha soft serveFinal Thoughts:The waffle cone was yummy and the matcha flavour was okay but I wished the soft serve was creamier. It's nice to have as an option if you're in the area, but I found the soft serve a bit icy and it fell a tad short of my expectations.

Very nice staff and everything tastes amazing especially if you love authentic matcha / hojicha.
Great cute place for ice cream and sweet. I would recommend to try the ice cream in both flavours.

Our go to place for amazing Hojicha! Love both latte and tea but yea quality is amazing so I often opt for that with matcha puff.

Love the matcha and hojicha soft serve. Would stop by when I’m craving a strong tea flavoured ice cream or when I’m nearby for ramen. Highly recommend.
Wouldn't recommend this
