Definitely a diamond in the rough. Unfortunately, we booked same-day and couldn't get the Omakase menu, but the server worked with us to get something similar. The only negative part was they forgot to serve us the uni due to a mix up with another table. No other complaints and would definitely return.

One of the best sushi experiences we’ve had! The food was second to none. The staff was very welcoming and helped make the menu decisions effortless. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic sushi experience. Thank you to our waiter Grace, she was excellent! Will be back.

THE BEST and reasonably priced high quality sushi restaurant in Toronto!!! Being from California, we were really disappointed by the low quality sushi and the high prices at other restaurants in Toronto. So when we found Shunoko, our search was over. We always order Sushi Saiko, 9 pieces nigiri sushi, 6 pieces spicy tuvo sushi roll, salad and miso soup for $38! Every piece of sushi is AMAZING and it changes often. This time the seabass, black seabream and unagi stole the show.

Spidey (large 4 pc) 11.00 and beer can 8.00. Roll didnt come with anything else and it left me hungry. Would've been better to make it at least 6pc and charge a bit more or something. Roll wasn't special, but chirashi was. Expect to spend 50pp if you want to be full/satisfied.Walked in, hand sanitizer smelled bad, went to washroom to wash hand and washroom was too scented, and later saw washroom stall wo toilet paper. For 50pp location, the quality of the overall experience didn't match up to it. Would only consider going back for fancy sushi but that's about it.

Incredible experience. A must try for omakase in Toronto. Obviously a different experience than the higher end options but definitely worth a try! I'll definitely be returning.

Had high expectations of this place given some recommendations and reviews online, also I was craving sushi but this point disappointed through and through.I ordered the nigiri set and an extra seared scallops roll. The sets come with soup and salad which were standard. The nigiri also came with a spicy tuna roll. Unfortunately the tuna is old and had a fishy garbage taste but they thought the spicy mayo on top would cover up the taste. The sushi rice itself was a bit on the harder side and they did not sure traditional Japanese sushi vinegar and added way too much so all the sushi was was extra sour. Only saving grace was the salmon and scallop pieces. Otherwise all other fish were watery. Didn't thaw enough and absorb liquid.Do not come here for authentic sushi. Ive never trusted Koreans making sushi and it's obvious why. Taking shortcuts all over the place. SKIP.

Good place to get sushi in Toronto west. Ordered the butter on fire roll and sushi saiko for take out. Loved how the sushi saiko set has instructions on how to eat the sushi (from left to right and maki at the end). I'd love to try the omakase next time.

For my first visit tried the omakase and it was excellent! I love how they also incorporate local fish in their selection. Also enjoyed the interior and vibe inside the restaurant itself - perfect for a date night.

3rd time here but first time trying the omakase and it didn’t disappoint. Incredible variety of fish sources from Japan, PEI, and Portugal. The chefs expertise and skill is a pleasure to watch and he gave us plenty of nice complementary surprises for my birthday. Great value for this level of service and quality.

Great omakase! Staff was very friendly and had a pleasant time watching the chef prepare everything. Selection was fantastic and great atmosphere as well!

Recently discovered Shunoko and its offerings of a small but solid menu of set dinners. Had the sashimi and sushi sets and am interested in the omakase next. Follow instructions for eating the fish left to right ?

This place is amazing. Both of us had the Sushi Saiko, which was wonderful. It's hard to choose a favorite among the different nigiri. Our waitress was so kind to us and accommodated us without a reservation. Definitely worth a visit.

Not only a great price. But super simple and delish sushi. Every bite was enhanced by chefs speciality. I am going back soon.

First omakase experience ever and it was worth every penny! Didn’t get a photo of the dessert but their black sesame basque cheesecake was also *chef’s kiss*
