Had the negi toro- the fish was ok but poorly seasoned and same with sushi rice. A touch soggy and couldnt feel the individual grains. For the price you pay and would expect it to be tasting better. I was quite disappointed and will not be going back.

Taro’s Fish never fails to impress me! Please don’t mind the other reviewers—prices have changed because of inflation, and you’re supporting a small family business that works with reputable Japanese vendors and fish mongers across the world! I stopped by and picked up some of their handrolls, and they were melt-in-your-mouth quality. You can even put it in the fridge and eat it the next day, just need to let it sit out for an hour or so for the rice to become soft again. I ate my last one, and the quality is just like yesterday’s! I plan to come back to the Markland location for sure!!

Showed up to see that the holiday closure dates on the website and the store are totally different. Maybe you should have the proper information on your website.

Closed even though they updated their Google holiday hours to reflect that they're open. Also had a sign on the store saying their other location is open during these days, wasted time driving to the other store to only find its also closed.

Absolutely love the quality of the sushi here. I’m not from town so when I come, I have to drop by this place. It’s more of a sushi grocery store. You purchase the items and bring it home to create your sushi dish. Very adorable for quality sushi.
One of the best sashimi hand rolls in Canada.

The fishes are expensive but so good. I paid $3 extra to make a poke bowl. Definitely worth the premium cost.
