Quintessential dive bar, good music, pool and pinball, solid selection of drinks and food!

Great dive bar with pretty good food. The service could be a bit better but when going to a dive bar you usually don’t have high expectations.

I've worked in the service industry for 12+ years and have never been treated the way I was treated here. The bartender was beyond rude with no reason whatsoever. After a few uncalled for side comments we asked for our bill, which was a round of drinks for a quick last call. When we asked for it to be split we were met with an eye roll, another snarky comment and the paper copies being thrown in our direction. If it was a busy night I would have never asked for a split, this was not one.I've never not left a tip in my life and this was a disappointing first for me. If you don't have respect for your job or the establishment you're representing then it may be time to move on... the bummer on top of this was the fact that the first bartender taking our order was friendly, pleasent and easygoing. He sadly finished his shift in the 20 minute time span we were there and we were left with the polar opposite personality to end the night. What once was a local spot with great service has sadly slid downhill. Wouldn't recommend.

Yesterday afternoon (Superbowl Sunday) I arrived at the Dock Ellis after checking out their website and menu during the day and I arrived 1.5 hours before game time to get a table for 4. Their website and current google account posted "Doesn't Accept Reservations". Upon my arrival 90% of the tables were reserved including the barstools on the bar.I was told by their staff member that a table would be 15 minutes and I waited patiently until the table was ready. Their staff member let me know I can sit down and when I was reading the menu and about to order a drink another staff member told me I couldn't sit there (after waiting 15 minutes for the table to be ready) as it was reserved. I was told they could accommodate my friends and I "for standing room only".I make it a habit to get to know the local watering holes in the area, 1 star rating for wasting my time.

Stop searching. You won't find a more authentic Canadian sportsbar anywhere around. The Dock has it all. The bartender who will remember your name, the chef that will give your plate 100%, the best live sports at any angle (including the PWHL ?), and the owners who truly care. Plus super fun games and if you like punk rock, girl/boy you will have a blast on Friday night! They recently opened a No No Room music venue downstairs (yep, it has it's own bar).Dietary restrictions: Non-alcoholic beverages, gluten-free options.

Absolute gem of a bar. Watched the '23 Grey Cup here as a few friends of mine are regulars. We had a fantastic time - homey, friendly service, good selection of local beers for a "dive" bar, and the best, most unique nachos I've ever had.Not one to leave many reviews but wishing Callum & the boys all the best.

Stopped by here when I was in the area with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. Has such a cool vibe where you can come watch games, play shuffleboard, ping pong or just eat and drink with friends. The menu has a lot of variety and their brunch options on weekends looked bomb. I LOVED their nachos, so much flavour and a great quality chip. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu and play shuffleboard!

Terrible service. Went on a friday with some friends from out of town to have a good night. The server wouldn't even bother telling us what's on tap. Told us to read the menu. The restaurant was dead. Luckily we sat on the patio but would not visit this spot again. Don't always trust google reviews.
