This place was an awful-smelling dive before the renovations. Now, it’s high-end looking, yet still fits the university aesthetic with the wooden books on the shelves - much improved. The service was fantastic, with the server explaining the specials, catering to all the unique requests from our party, and even considering the pros & cons of the perfect cake slice for my friend’s birthday.

A decent enough place for a beer. The fox pilsner is pretty tasty! Not sure how the bill adds up but nice place all the same.

The place has a very good vibes, however, the service was really bad. The restaurant managers one of them i guess his name Greg had gave us attitude just because we changed our table after taking a permission. They even ignored us after, nobody has checked on us if we would like to order, it’s like guys you have to leave. That was on Sat Mar 9th around 10 PM.

Was there with a group of friends (4 women, all black) and our server (the receipt said Joe) refused us service on Sat, Mar 16th. He was perfectly friendly and accommodating with every other table (all white). Not an inviting venue for people of color.

I goto this pub once a week or so. This time, absolutely terrible customer service. 2 of the servers shown in the pic were very rude. Was complaining about something and he literally said he doesn’t see the point of the conversation.

Food good. Service very very slow. Maybe not enough staff.

Love the atmosphere of this place, it is a good choice to have a good time with friends. They are convenient located on busy area, there is parking available underground for a fee $10.00, They have DJ on weekends, this place is beautiful decorated, service is excellent, and they have good deals on drinks.

Confusing when we walked in, unclear if we were to seat ourselves or wait for a host - folks who came in after also looked confused as they walked in.The food wasn’t very good, I had a lox bagel and the onions and capers were dried and the bagel itself wasn’t the best quality nor was the lox. Similarly, my ‘latte’ was drip coffee with milk but still charged as a specialty coffee, and the ‘fresh squeezed’ orange juice was from a jug of concentrate behind the bar.Restaurant was empty and we still had to wait a long time until a server came to refill water, nobody came with our bills until after we asked twice - and the food was never cleared from our table after we were finished.Overall, would not go back and would not recommend when there are so many other options in Yorkville or even near this place.

One of the best restaurants I've been to during my short stay in Toronto. The most Friendly staff, delicious food. The place is cozy & clean (incl. Toilets). Was happy to dine here? and will come if I ever visit Toronto again.

The aesthetic of the place is nice(even though my chair was wobbly) and the waitress was attentive and great! The food was definitely a low point especially for the price.($24)I ordered the chicken slouvaki plate and though the chicken was juicy, the only seasoning it tasted of was strong cracked pepper and lemon. The side salad was tiny and inauthentic and the cheese had that slightly off feta taste. The fries were decent. The tzatziki wasn’t too great. Unless there’s some hidden gem on the menu I would skip this place for other restaurants around the city with better food!Dietary restrictions: My friend is gluten free and there were barely any options.

Confusing entrance off Bloor. Didn't know if there was a host or seat ourselves. We had reservations, so ?. Liked the water options. We chose sparkling, and it's opened fresh in front of you.Menu online is different from what is provided in person. For example, Caramel Espresso Martinis. The food was good, hot, and fresh.Service could've been more efficient. It appeared they were down a few servers for the number of people that were coming in.The whole atmosphere is comfortable, and although we won't be back, we definitely recommend this place to others.
