The food here is unexpectedly good. I've been here loads of times and I've tried a decent chunk of the menu and every meal has been excellent. Even simple things like chips and dip are done really well and the flavours are layered together to create something tasty instead of something that's just thrown together. The tap list isn't huge, but it is well considered - there's a wide variety of flavours and tastes covered. The staff is friendly and efficient; despite it always being pretty busy the wait times for food and drinks are very reasonable. The prices for food are a little high, but worth it. The prices for drinks are pretty standard for a trendy sort of place. The only thing is that there's often a line here with some pretty long wait times. During their peak hours you can expect to wait 45 mins to an hour for a table for 4.

I really like this place. It is cozy, it has a wide selection of beers and they have a changing dish which tends to be very original and tasty. It's like your go-to local pub when you want to meet friends over a beer and a nice burger. It has some social areas where you'll sit next to strangers on a large table, but it's ok. It's part of the laid-back atmosphere here. They also have a nice patio outdoors. Food is good, friendly service.

I've never had a bad time at The Wren. Yes, it can get busy quick, but that's a testament to the amazing thing they have going there. Great food and inventive daily specials (we made a point of going for fried chicken week and would kindly suggest they add the fried chicken and waffles to the permanent menu ?), always friendly and down-to-earth staff and great vibe.
