Amazing food and service!! It's really hard to find sushi restaurants that don't overstuff a small piece of fish with rice, but this place has the perfect fish to rice ratio. Every menu item I've had here was always tasty and fresh. The service is also fantastic, the owner is very nice, I visited with my family and she gave us a complimentary dessert :) my favourite sushi place in the city

Tokyo Sushi is a favourite for our family. Whenever we are in Toronto we always visit Tokyo Sushi and those of us who live in the downtown area are regulars there. The food is fresh and delicious with the Party Tray Sashimi, special maki rolls and shrimp tempura being just a few of our favourites. Great service with welcoming beautiful smiles and truly one of the best Japanese food restaurants in the downtown area. Recently renovated and looking great. Gave it two stars beacuse of the service,the server are not well accomodating ,the food is good. definitely would come back for food but will expect the same for the server she smile after we pay seeing whe gave the tip just not quite enjoyable dining outside

I recently dined at Tokyo Sushi and could not have been more impressed. As I walked in, the servers greeted me kindly into a family-friendly environment with quiet and peaceful music. I ordered a "Deluxe Dinner," and the wait was around 15-20 minutes, which is very reasonable for a sushi restaurant, in my opinion. The fish tasted fresh, and abundant amounts of wasabi, soy sauce and ginger were at my disposal. In addition, their simplistic dessert menu was a perfect finish to an excellent meal. I highly recommend the "Green Tea Ice Cream."! To top this amazing experience, the servers were well-mannered and polite and responded quickly when I needed something. Overall, the experience was magnificent, and I highly recommend that everyone dine at this establishment when in the area.

I think some of these 1-star reviews must be made up. Even the names seem made up. I come to place with my wife or with friends once every week or two. It's a lovely family-owned restaurant. All the servers I've encountered have been very friendly and nice. I have never felt rushed or pushed to finish and pay even when I havebeen there during very busy times. I have tried many of items from the menu, both hot and cold, and they've all been pretty great. The prices are very reasonable especially for Toronto and the quality of the food served. Even the price for drinks such as beer and sake is low compared to other places I've been. I don't believe you will find a better quality experience for family-style Japanese food than Toyko Sushi.
