Can’t speak to the food here because the waiter refused to use his words, instead pointing and grunting, so we got up and left. Spend your money elsewhere.

This food is the best food I have tasted in a long time. I live in NJ and have the opportunity to taste Indian food from India street. None of the preparations compare with the food here. The papri chat is to die for! It has the perfect blend of spices and chutneys so that one is not overwhelmed by a predominant sweet or sour taste. It was the first time, I tasted manchurian idli (did not know that such a dish existed) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a delicious Manchurian sauce. The pav bhaji dosa, paper dosa, kulfi, among other things we ate were so tasty. To add to the food, the owner Hubert, is attentive to his guests and spares no effort to see that they are delighted by the offerings. The place is clean, comfortable, and has a lovely vibe. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to try some authentic South Indian fare as well as fusion fare like the Manchurian idli.Vegetarian options: Papri chat, Dahi wada, Kulfi, among others.

Simply put, this is the best Indian vegetarian restaurant in the city. Discovered it from a review in Now magazine about 20 years ago and have been visiting it ever since. If it was located any closer to where I live, I would have lunch there daily , with plenty left-over for dinner as well. The thali is my favourite, but everything on the menu is tasty and fairly priced. I hope they are still serving when age requires me to rely on home delivery. Manesh, Olwyn, Hubert, Depak and the rest of the team are tops.

Udupi Palace is a Vegetarian restaurant. My husband and I have visited this establishment for about 20 years. We have frequented other restaurants in Toronto, but the experience at Udupi Palace is uniquely peaceful and serene. The vegetarian food is tasty, and value priced, and the portions are generous and varied. The owners (Hubert and Deepak), and staff (especially Alwin and Manish), are friendly, courteous, and welcoming.I would highly recommend Udupi Palace.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are many and varied. The thali usually has a good selection of vegetarian food.Parking: There is a lot of free street parking on side streets, and paid street parking directly outside the restaurant - check time limits.Kid-friendliness: I've seen many children at Udupi Palace - they seem to enjoy eating at this restaurant, and can be themselves!!!

Phenomenal Food, very friendly and knowledgeable staff; and to top it all we were really impressed that the owners (Hubert and Judy) made the time to speak to each or the customers. We had the idli Manchurian, chaat papri, Pav Bhaji dosa, rava dosa and sabudhana kichdi. Enjoyed it all and definitely ate much more than we intended to.Topped it up with their homemade kulfi and lassi and coffee.
