It was a great time dining in the wonderful restaurant Vaticano in the heart of Yorkville. The service was nice and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the homemade pasta. We'll definitely be back again.

Had an amazing experience at both the Toronto and Fort Erie locations of Vaticano Restaurant. It’s rare to find such authentic, traditional Italian cuisine where everything is made fresh and with so much care. The dedication to homemade meals and customer satisfaction shines through in every dish. It’s more than just dining; it’s about embracing a cherished family tradition of Italian cooking. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine, old-school Italian food. Bravo, Vaticano!

What a fabulous birthday dinner we just had at Vaticano! Dmytro is an excellent server, very courteous, helpful and with great timing! The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. We had bruchetta, insalata, lobster fettuccine, mushroom risotti and the most decadent and delicious tiramisu we've ever had! Highly recommend this Yorkville gem ?

Absolutely fantastic Italian cuisine, truly authentic. A hidden gem in Yorkville. The veal was incredibly tender. This place will definitely be my go-to for real Italian food, just like being in Italy.

The restaurant was empty on a Friday night at 7pm. That was red flag #1. There is a serious need for some updating in the decor of the restaurant. It is very dated and looks like it hasn't been touched in quite some time. Our appetizer meatballs came out ICE cold. The entrees were piping hot, but nothing special in terms of authentic Italian cuisine. The only silver lining was our very kind and attentive young man waiter.

Felice is a phenomenal chef and a master of his craft. The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly, and the cuisine is authentic.

The evening was sheer joy! Food prepared with love, our lovely server Monica took care of our every need. We were celebrating a Birthday, and at the end of the dinner the chef and staff came out with wonderful Birthday desserts ( complimentary) for us. Perfect! Highly recommend!!

Husband was kind enough to take me here for Valentine's Day dinner 2024. Never have we experienced the worst service ever! Took about 20 minutes for someone to say hello. We ordered wine, never arrived. We had to remind the waiter. While having the apps we waited for our entree. About 40 minutes later the waiter says to us that he forgot to order the entree and that he will have the chef make it right away. Finally our entrees arrived. You would think the food would have made up for the terrible service but the food was worse. The waiter was trying to sell the sad Marsala Veal dish my husband ordered by saying it was one of the favourites on the menu. Do not, I repeat DO NOT ORDER the veal of any kind, unless you love to eat cardboard. Worse than airplane or hospital food. Oh, and the waiter forgot to replace our cutlery. Had to ask if we should use the place setting on the table beside us. I had ordered a 2nd drink hoping to have it with my entree. Never arrived and I had finished my meal. Told the waiter to cancel the drink order. His excuse "Sorry but the bartender is also helping in the kitchen" How has this restaurant survive in Yorkville all these years??? Let's just say, NEVER AGAIN! Unfortunately had to put at least a star for this review to be posted

We showed up at 9:05 for a 9:15 reservation. 6 people were waiting for their reservations at 8:45 and 9pm. No staff approached us with any updates on availability or status. Staff refused to chat to us about tables as they were “too busy” We left after waiting for 30 min

I wanted to like this place cool ambience old school Italian restaurant, our server was lost took an hour to get my first drink . When I got my drink it was wrong. When I finished my meal I got my drink . Gnocchi wasn't good ravioli was pretty good .

This has to be my favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto! Every meal we tried is better than the next & bursting with flavour, that you want to savour every bite! We took the entire family & shared a few appetizers - meatballs, artichokes and mushrooms, and for the main courses we had the Veal Lasagna, Pasta with Lobster and Pasta Carbonara. The service & atmosphere is excellent. It’s perfect for a date night, special occasion or to bring your entire family! If you’re a tourist visiting Toronto, and a food lover, it’s located in Yorkville and a must to add to your list of places to eat!

I came to Vaticano after a few friends of mine recommended it. It’s safe to say this is now my new go to spot for Italian cuisine. The staff is very friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend to try their new cocktail menu, as it is the best drinks I’ve had in a while. Its in the heart of Yorkville and the perfect place for date nights, or simple dinners with friends. If you haven’t checked it out yet, then ur missing out!
