The food here is indescribably good! The folks are easy going and friendly. The only reason I don't here as much as I'd like is because it's "up the hill" too far too walk and the hill up Eglinton makes it hard to get to. Whenever I have to rent an autoshare car, I always think "Can I make a trip to V's today??!"

It shows open on Sundays but only the bar was open and not the restaurant. Drove all the way here for nothing.

So much love goes into their food. Worth the drive from downtown. Fried banana and jerk soy chunks on quinoa and rice and other veggies, great juices.

Love this place and the people who put their time into the food. Even have 100% natural hygiene products for the ladies. Would recommend this place if you want a clean, good tasting meal/healthy pastries completely vegan friendly.

Get a/the sampler, I got to try almost everything. Super tasty. The homemade juices were also good.

This place is vegan and the food was very tasty. However it is mainly take out and quite pricey for the portion. I probably won't come back but it's worth a try.

Amazing service, super friendly! They gave us these pastries that is their version of donuts, made with no sugar and they're delicious. As a vegan for over 9 years, The bowl was phenomenal, with a little bit of everything, with every bite there was a burst of flavour. I love this spot now, I would def recommend and will be coming back. thank you!

Best Caribbean vegan restaurant I've ever been to. Very creative with food ideas and very delicious. Too bad there aren't many locations. Always my choice when I'm close by.

Can someone tell me why this place is so good?! I got chef Pong's special and it always blows me away. I'm not even vegan or vegetarian. The okra and cassava dish - I think it's cassava... it's white, starchy and a little bit sweet, is sooooo goood. I love it when they add that avocado on top. Just brings in all the colour and flavours. You get a little bit of sweet, spicy, smokey.. just delicious.

My son and his girlfriend are vegan, so when they visit we're always on the lookout for places to eat. V's was highly recommended by a vegan friend and now that we've eaten there I can see why. I'm not a vegan myself but I really enjoyed the food and can't wait to go back to try some other dishes. Absolutely delicious. Very friendly, informal and laid back, so if you want fancy don't go, but if you want good, then do. (Note: Cash only.)

Honestly there's not too many options for vegan food in the west end, that's why I'm so thankful for V's! V's has been on my radar for the past few months and I'm happy I've finally got a chance to go. I had the Chef Pong special, it's a mix of a little bit of everything! You get curry soy chunks, maple jerk tofu, plantain, quinoa, chickpeas, callaloo, topped with avocado. I would call ahead though, because sometimes they sell out of their popular items. Did I mention that maple jerk tofu though! :)

The food is fresh, flavourful and healthy. Yummy curries and rotis. Fresh homemade ginger beer that's nice and spicy, raspberry and mint juice and lovely lo

Vegan Caribbean food is a unique combination that's succeeding in Toronto's tougher Mt Dennis west-end neighborhood. V's Caribbean Restaurant is actually attracting a flock of people from all over the city to try their comfort food. I made the trek and quickly located the entrance, which had a bit of island flair that made it easy to spot. I had the Chef Pong Special, a full offering with all of their vegan toppings. I really liked the maple jerk tofu, it was slightly sweet and deliciously imitated spicy jerk meat. The curry chickpeas, curry TVP soy chunks and caramelized plantain (banana) were also seasoned flavourfully as interesting sides. The mac & cheese, stew peas and callaloo (veggies) were more plain fillers and less tasty. The fresh avacado and quinoa nicely complemented all of the toppings, and basmati rice can be chosen instead of quinoa. This huge vegan platter doesn't come cheap ($15) yet is a healthy and filling alternative. While the staff gave a first look of suspicion at my interest, she started to smile when I mentioned that their food looked attractive. I didn't plan to stay long to dine-in so I asked for takeout. The seating area felt kind of stale though their use of Bob Marley placemats was cool.

This place has me converted on the first take. I could never imagine a meal that didn't have meat could satisfy my palette the way that Vee's does. I went for the Pong Special - a little of everything, best decision. The flavours were robust, delicious, and sensational all at the same time. My only complaint is that they are not open 7 days a week and located in the west end. This place is a must try.
