Chicken was well seasoned with a nice charcoal grill flavour but "spicy" was mild to say the least. I was hoping for a little more kick to the spice level.

Firstly, I stood at the counter for quite sometime as the owner answered phones right infront of me, instead of taking my order.She didn't even bother to acknowledge my presence. Finaly another worker took my order. I ordered a whole chicken not spicy as my husband could not eat spicy food. When I got home (we live 20min away) I saw that the chicken had spicy piri piri all over it. I called twice, left voicemails to complain and no one ever called us back. Really disappointed as my husband had nothing to eat that night. The pieces of chicken that I ate were dry, overcooked. Sadly, We will not go back.

I am very disappointed in the food we purchased here yesterday. The service was awful, the server was frazzled and the food presented in the heated area looked messy. When we brought home our food our half chicken dinner was very sloppy and wet, vegetables and macaroni salad with chicken, it was all sloppy and mixed together. The food chicken was very dry and full of fat with no taste. I’m sorry this was a very bad experience and we will not be returning.
Waited an hour only for you to then to cancel my delivery order. Pathetic.

After a quick Google search, we came across The Portuguese Grill House one afternoon while looking for pace to have lunch while driving through Waterdown. We ordered the family meal and an extra side salad. It was shared by 3 adults, and we have more than enough to take home for another meal. We got a whole chicken (spicy), rice, potatoes and salad. It was the best Portuguese chicken I have had in a long time! The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was friendly and attentive. I recommend trying it out, it was great! I don't live in the area, however I will definitely be back again.
