Got the smokehouse burger, it was obviously beef patties from the frozen foods section at the grocery store. The server came by a couple times. Overall I would not go out of my way to come back.

We just hosted my Mom’s 70th Birthday party in the Boardroom of Barley Works. I was extremely impressed by the staff including the manager. Everything was organized and the service was outstanding! Food was incredible. Everyone was attentive and my Mom truly enjoyed her special night. Thank

Always a good night. The special was cabbage rolls with marinara and they were good. Very nice server who take good care of us. The beer is always the highlight of dinning here.

We were served by a waitress named Sophie and her service was amazing! Even when there were mishaps in the kitchen, she made sure to sure we all got what we ordered and she ensured that all of us were happy and satisfied with our food. The night was hectic with a lot going on but she continuously came back to our table to check up on us and update us the status of our orders. She was very kind and prompt throughout the night so I had to shout her out for her great service.

Rude server. My friends and I are regulars here, love the patio in the summer and playing pool in the colder months. However nearly every time we come the experience is ruined by the same, entitled waitress/bartender (blonde, taller, skinny). For starters, she is just blatantly rude. Conversation with her is never pleasant as she constantly talks down to us in a condescending way, and just generally carry's herself with a sense of entitlement that makes every interaction unpleasant. For instance, I walk up to the bar and wait for service, while she proceeds to stand there, drink her water, and not come serve me for many minutes. She was doing nothing. Not once while we've been eating has she checked in on us, asked if we wanted refills, or asked how the food was. She takes the order, drops off the food, then stands and does nothing. The other servers here are absolutely wonderful and attentive. It's just her. We're tired of it!

The reason you come to Waterloo's Jazz Room is for the jazz. I have been there on many occasions and have never been disappointed. I have heard the musicians say that this is the best jazz venue in Toronto :-). (Well an hour away)! Great sound with video screens as well. It has a nice ambience with exposed brick walls and great vibe. People are respectful of the artists and limit their talking to the breaks. The Huether Hotel brews their own excellent beer. Food is solid.

Rude waitress showed us a place to sit down. Then said she wouldn't serve or group because people had drank too much, when we hadn't been anywhere before. Rude, do not go here.

I used to go to the cafe there and the owner constantly degraded and insulted her servers. It was so bad that I stopped going. She yells at customers too if they bring in so much as an empty cup from another cafe. The employee turnover rate is high - there's *always* a 'Help Wanted' sign in the window lol
