My friend had a medical emergency at this bar...an ambulance was called, he was checked out and deemed to be fine. One month later we went over and were told that neither one of us was allowed into the bar!!!!! At the time of the incident, neither my friend nor I were in any way disagreeable, didn't cause any problems yet now this. Makes no sense that we aren't allowed back. We weren't given a reason why we weren't allowed back, just told to leave.I've never in my life had something like this happen.Just want people to be aware of the kind of business they are running.Don't waste your time or money...their food isn't that good for the high prices that they charge either.Watch yourself, you could be the next ones banned from the Churchill Arms!!!

Amazing service! I went in with a friend and we ordered chilli and tacos. Beer was good, and music was great too. I’ll definitely be back

My friend and I each got a $10 margarita. Hers was twice my size in a large glass, mine was in a small. Waitress told me I was crazy, that they were the same size. We paid the same price. Strike one.Strike two. We waited two hours for food! We ordered beef tacos. They brought beef nachos. Waitress told my husband he was lying when we told him our order was wrong. She told her boss the same thing. The new order arrived well after everyone at our table finished their meals. The best part?? IT WAS COLD! It had clearly been waiting there for a while. NO APOLOGYBrought my friend the wrong meal as well. No apology.Strike 3 - they charged us for nachos not tacos. Big price difference. Waitress grabs the bill back with attitude.Charged my friend for two sets of her meal. Charged my other friend for double the drinks she actually had.NO APOLOGYATTITUDEBLAMING YOUR CUSTOMERS AND NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY.I get that it was a busy place, but customer service goes a long way.An absolutely miserable experience. How are you still in business if this is how your treat your customers?

A friend and I chose to go to Churchill Arms for dinner following an early Friday evening movie. When we arrived, the pub was already crowded, and people had clearly been drinking for some time because the noise level from people having conversations was deafening. We decided to stay and we ordered fish and chips. The fish was delicious but the fries were stale and tough. Then we learned it was Karaoke night. Our fault for not realizing this ahead of time, but what ensued was indeed Karaoke at deafening decibels by people who were sure they can sing. Everyone else in the place seemed to be having a good time, but even with shouting to one another across a small table for two, we couldn't hear one another. Not the quiet pub dinner we had been hoping for. We won't go back.

Food excellent, wait staff friendly! Came to see The Boys & I perform. Lots of fun, more lights in stage area would be appreciated

This place is the definition of a quaint little pub! When I say little, I do really mean that as well; it's almost too small and that is the only downside here, I'd say. I came on here on a karaoke night and because of how small it is, it was difficult to have a conversation without almost yelling. Would I come back again though? Probably, as the service was great and the prices were fair too.

Visited for the first time tonight, the whole experience was amazing. Intended to come for dinner and drinks but ended up staying over 5 hours. The food was so good and the staff were super friendly. You can tell the place is full of regulars which is always a good sign. They had karaoke tonight which although we didn't participate was super fun to watch! We live within walking distance and now hope to make a trip here a weekly thing. Definitely a hidden gem in Waterloo!

The food was fantastic, the service flawless by the very courteous & accommodating staff and to our accompaniment was the live music by two gentlemen who made our evening memorable! The setup and the ambience was soothing overall. We had ordered the wing deal & nachos and guzzled on rum & the Caesar’s drink ? which was spiced to perfection! Definitely, gonna be back ?

My partner ordered this for our family dinner tonight. I had the roast beef dinner. It honestly tasted like a home-cooked Sunday supper. Tender beef, great spuds, Tendercrisp veg, rich gravy, and good portion. Haven’t had a restaurant roast beef dinner like this in a long time. Will definitely add to our takeout list. Thanks very much!

I got the 2 Pc haddock with coleslaw, tartar sauce and malt vinegar. Called in the order at 6:28 Friday night and picked it up in 15 minutes for take out, friendly service. Could've been more golden fries for $18 special. Wife thought the batter was greasy, I didn't think so. Fish was ½-⅝" thick in the middle

We came here during the summer to try it out. They have a casual patio and table setup in the parking lot. Good prices for drinks and excellent service. The crowd is a bit older and has less students compared to uptown Waterloo. Also enjoyed the neighbour's lawnmower and the smell of freshly cut grass. Made it feel like a backyard patio experience.
