The quantity of small Chicken Doner Platter is way too less for $11. Please look around in the region! The taste was also not outstanding, but it might be because I was just eating some salad with a little doner chicken!

Dry, dry, dry and lacking flavour. I ordered the “large falafel wrap”. The vegan option with the garlic tahini, hot sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice. That and a pop cost me about $18. For the price and wait in line (20mins or more) not worth it. Try anywhere else!! The food lacked flavour and was bland, and SO dry, they don’t use hummus and the pita is crusty dry as well as the falafel. Falafel is usually very flavourful when done well but not the case here. I even got extra garlic tahini on the side and that didn’t help much. I’m all for supporting local shops but not when the food isn’t worth it.

I ordered the donair salad. It was good, but not great for the price. The quality of ingredients were okay. The amount of donair was a small layer on the bottom. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

This is an honest review and is our opinion. What works for us may not necessarily work for everyone but we base our comments on the experience we have with this food and what we know to be authentic.Unfortunately this donair is not an authentic donair. The texture is not that of a donair, the spices are not that of an authentic donair, the pita is not that of a donair and the sauce is weak and runny. An authentic donair has the texture and consistency of a Greek gyros. It has a texture that is soft not chewy. The spices are sultry and very prominent, the pita is more towards a Greek pita rather then a shawarma like the ones used here and the sauce is thick with a wonderful balance of sweet and salty due to the main ingredients of condensed milk and vinegar.Like another reviewer pointed out, if you're looking for an authentic donair, this is not the place. We are sure that some people that are not familiar with an authentic donair may like this take on it but not anyone that actually knows what an authentic donair tastes like. For us, we were not impressed. Other then the friendly service and the fresh vegetables, the Donair itself was inedible.I think that if a business is to sell a product like a donair, it should stick with something similar to a donair. Maybe source out restaurants in Nova Scotia or local that sell authentic donairs, research on how it's done and where they get their product. Doing that will insure more sales because individuals that have no idea what a authentic donair tastes like will be very impressed and individuals that do will keep coming back. As it stands we will not be back.As for price, they are a little on the high side but that could be due to St. Jacobs Market being a tourist destination. Like any festival, event or tourist destination prices will be higher. Anyone who reviews and complains about that should ask themselves why they would expect anything different, you will pay more at locations like this.

Very sweet customer service. This was my first time ordering and the food was so fresh and generous with portions, will definitely be going back soon. The chicken is also halal which is great 10/10

This was the best and realest food I have tasted in a long time. I have two problems though, 1. The sauce needs more flavor, the tzatziki and garlic sauce are a bit flavorless and too runny. Gix that and you become the best doner place in Kitchener Waterloo. 2. Why aren’t you open everyday? Please relocate to a busier area in Waterloo or Kitchener.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years. Fresh vegetables, homemade sauces, amazing meat. Wow. Everything is amazing. I make the drive from Toronto and this is usually my first stop. Owner is very kind and professional. So are the workers :) see you every time I’m in the city on market day.

Amazing falafel wrap. Everything was so fresh and the staff was extremely accommodating for my allergies.

My FAVOURITE spot for an amazing gluten-free meal. I'm obsessed with their Doner Salads. I have a gluten intolerance and I've never had issues with their food. I have friends that are celiac and have ate here as well with no issues. They have such delicious homemade sauces, and fresh, high quality ingredients. I love when food tastes REAL like this!

Food itself was good but not the tzatziki sauce (doner sauce) Usually it is really good but today it tasted like yogurt and vinegar. It was really sour. Once we scraped off the sauce, the rest was great. Edit: I do not want a free Doner, I just wanted to let you know that the sauce was not as good as usual. I still plan to return like I always do but thank you for offering to make it right!

Easily one of the best takeout spots in KW. The food is so fresh, well-made and tastes incredible! The service is always quick and super friendly. Couldn’t recommend Doner House more, must have in the region!
