We visited this place for the first time last Saturday. We had a good time. The owners were so friendly. The sister gave us free garlic dip and the brother served us with free tea as a welcome gesture. We will definitely go back. My daughter who is University student will be their regular customer. What a great ambience and modern aesthetic atmosphere for a group or a date with your special person. Today I ordered the Chicken Tawouk Plate which consisted of two perfectly tender chicken skewers that had been marinated with lemon and served on top of a good portion of rice. The plate includes a salad so I chose the Hamwi salad which is a mix of carefully diced tomato, green pepper, parsley all dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. This perfectly complements the marinated chicken tawouk. The restaurant uses high quality silverware and heavy plates that resemble fine-luxury dining at an affordable price. The cleanliness and smell of the store is 10/10 as if it had just had its grand opening, which is was very impressive. I would highly recommend this halal meat or vegetarian salad combination to anyone that is in Waterloo and is looking to be impressed by a restaurant and be perfectly satisfied with what they chose to pay for (quantity and quality 10/10). Everything is FRESH and home made! The felafel, grilled chicken and beef with garlic and hot sauce on rice and flavourful salad are delicious! I came back for seconds, having the lunch special two days in a row! Also, BEST baklava!!!
Our daughter and Son-in-law from London were visiting for their birthdays and had read some reviews about Mashawi . We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. The food was very fresh and tasty. Both chicken and steak selections were moist and flavourful. The rice was some of the best I have had in a restaurant and the dressing on the salad was light and fresh tasting. Pleasant surroundings and friendly owner and staff made our experience a great one. We will definitely return.

Best food ever. Order it once, loved it and the next day I went there again for dine-in. Would definitely come back. Everything about the dish, the place and the people is just perfect. I love falafel and this is the best falafel I have tried so far. The chicken is so fresh and perfectly cooked. Ordered the lunch special with chicken + extra falafel.Will visit again when I am back in Waterloo.

Really loved this place! I had the chicken wrap, my grandmother had the chicken salad with one skewer. Took a little bit of time to get the food but as was expected for fresh cooked chicken! Garlic sauce is SO good! The owners/management/every human we encountered were super nice. The facility is immaculately clean and lovely modern decor. I loved they offered filtered water and glasses. I absolutely enjoyed my food as did my grandmother (which makes me most happy). They have tons of vegan options I can't wait to bring my bestie! I hope they stay in business a very long time!
