Visited The Bauer Kitchen to celebrate my husband's birthday. Was quick and easy to book a reservation online, two weeks in advance. Arrived at reservation time and were seated immediately. We opted for the bartender's choice of what was on tap, which was Three Ring Circus from Block 3 Brewing just down the road in St. Jacob's. Despite it being an 8.9% beer, it was very tasty and did not taste like a beer that strong. Excellent selection, bartender!We started with the crispy fried brussels sprouts, which were the star of the meal. Perfectly crisped and seasoned, served with housemade fried chips and a garlic aioli, these were nothing short of delightful.Our mains were the Szechuan seared tuna bowl and the plant-based fried chick'n sandwich (with a side of sweet potato wedges).The tuna bowl was a great mix of ingredients. The sushi rice, veggies, and mango paired with the high quality piece of tuna, seared to perfection was "just awesome" in my husband's words.The plant-based fried chick'n sandwich was tasty as well. The housemade bread&butter pickles were a nice touch. The only thing I didn't enjoy about it was the bun to filling ratio. It seemed like a lot of bun, but was still very good and I would order it again.Our waitstaff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He double-checked that there were no allergies once I ordered off the plant-based menu. At the end of our meal, he brought out a lovely complimentary slice of carrot cake for us to enjoy for my husband's birthday, which was a nice and appreciated surprise.Our food came out quickly despite how busy the restaurant became over the dinner rush.Looking forward to returning to The Bauer Kitchen in the near future!Vegetarian options: Extensive plant-based menu, many of the options are things from the regular menu that are able to be modified for vegan/vegetarian diets.Dietary restrictions: Plant-based menu and gluten-free menu available.Parking: Street parking on Caroline, parking lot off Caroline with underground garage available as well.

I love everything about TBK. You are guaranteed a great meal and excellent service, The Bauer Kitchen does not disappoint!. So much to choose from and the food is exceptional; such creative and unique drinks and the ambiance is a 10! The servers are the best in KW, friendly, prompt, everyone works as team. TBK is our go-to for a great night out.
Arranged a staff meeting for my fantastic team at this location. The food was excellent! The staff attending to our group really completed a great experience...It was a VERY cold night but the walk back to my car was made muscle easier by delicious sticky pudding and vanilla bean ice cream!

Fantastic food, they have a homemade ketchup that actually taste like ketchup. Thought it was a bit pricey, but the cook on the burger is perfect and steak frits with blue cheese is amazing

My first experience here was awesome. I only wanted to order from the cafe and the staff said that was not a problem and seated me by the window. The host said that I was just able to walk over to the cafe and bring it back to my table. I got the roasted chicken sandwich and it was awesome. My second experience was rather negative. I came in and asked again for a table by the window, letting the host know that I just wanted to order from the cafe and she said that I could not. I mentioned that I was more than welcome to last time and she said that they don't allow customers to sit if they are only ordering from the cafe, but sat me anyway. I went to the cafe only to find that both their espresso machine AND oven were broken so I left. Very disappointing.

The service was excellent and the duck wings were delicious, but the fried chicken sandwich was quite bad. I could not taste any sauce, the chicken was badly seasoned and overpowering, and I couldn’t taste the coleslaw, but that may be for the best, as when I tried the slaw by itself, it was really gross. The fries were fantastic, though.
