I’ve lived around the neighbourhood for 50 years and this is one of my favourites. The food is on spot, made to order and satisfying every time! I favour the sandwiches and pasta with best meatballs I’ve had outside of NYC. Love that the food is authentic, but I wish there was more yelling and verbal jousting by paisano (apparently the more gentille patrons don’t like the noice ?). I highly recommend this “joint”. Tiramisu was good too. Wish gelato would come back for summer.

order food from here all the time with my boyfriend and we never have any complaints.we always get a Turkey sub and absolutely fall in love with it every time we get it.I LOVE sub’s definitely recommend this place if you want a good sandwich.

As a long time customer of Chicago Deli, I went to order a sandwich a few weeks ago and it was unfortunately the last time I will be ordering from them, which is a shame because I love their sandwiches but I can no longer support the owner of this restaurant.I have never written a bad review before and don’t like writing them on small businesses but this needs to be said.I had an awful experience in which the owner (a white man), as well as the other young white man that works there, both treated a new staff member (a young Sikh man who doesn’t seem to speak much English) with absolutely no respect. They were giving him unclear instructions and the commentary and remarks that were given to him by the owner, who was basically yelling at him while he was making my sandwich were despicable. I don’t know if he hasn’t been trained properly or if the job isn’t for him, but regardless, no one deserves to be humiliated like that.To the owner since you’re apparently always looking for feedback: Don’t berate and talk rudely to your own staff in front of customers, not only is it embarrassing for them, it’s also extremely awkward for the customer and ruins our experience. And to the young Sikh man working there (who made me a delicious sandwich btw) that has to deal with the rude owner, please quit. Work somewhere where you will be treated with dignity and respect.And to all other customers reading this, please look back at the other reviews and look at the owners responses. He’s just as rude on here as he is in person, and clearly can’t take any criticism. I’m waiting for a response from the owner telling me that I have issues in my personal life and placing the blame on me, instead of learning anything from this review.

Great food, great service, and authentic taste. Ive been coming here atleast once a week. Philly cheese steak, veal parm, and porchetta are fireeeee. My goal is to try every sandwhich on this menu lol.

This used to be our go to place for big sandwiches and unfortunately after our last order we will not be going back. My husband and I got two large sandwiches (that cost over $60!) that were just not very good at all. The bread was very hard, the toppings were minimal and we were charged for green peppers without being told that there was an extra charge.We used to tell everyone about this place. The price point and the quality was amazing and unfortunately it's just not the same anymore.*Edit: well that's certainly a weird flex. I mean I guess great job for having cameras so you can identify your customer exactly when they make a complaint.My mistake on the sizing. I didn't know that there was a difference between large and jumbo, but that doesn't change the fact that I would NOT have paid extra for toppings had I known. And my husband was not told.I definitely wouldn't call the shop as you're not exactly easy to talk to. Every time I used to put in orders (in person or for delivery) with specific toppings or lack thereof you would call and demand to know why I didn't want those specific toppings. So yeah no thanks. This whole thing has just left a sour taste in my mouth.We're not talking about pizzas here we're talking about sandwiches. Next time I'll just go to Antonio's where I can get a sandwich that tastes good and from nicer people.
This was my first time ordering and the lasagna was cold and the pasta was over cooked so very mushy. My husbands steak sandwich was 80% bun and 20%meat. Topping options were zero thru Uber eats. VERY. DISAPPOINTING. Pretty sure it was a frozen dinner. But I’ve had better frozen dinners.

Tomato sauce lacked flavour and seemed like straight tomato paste. Under seasoned and too strong. Not like homemade Italian at all. Chicken soup tasted like bones and old chicken. Arancini bland.
