The last time I had Ajisen Ramen was in Shanghai many many years ago. I happened to find the place while I was looking for new places in Windsor and had to cross the border and give it a try. Yes, I took the Detroit Tunnel just to come and enjoy the food. The interior is your typical Asian restaurant, tables on the left side and booths on the right. I went with the pork original, fried shrimp and chicken Karaage. The broth was awesome, had that deep bone flavor, seasoned perfectly and hit the spot perfectly!! I would definitely recommend the pork original if you are new to the place. I'll be back to try other ramen flavors. I couldn't give them five stars because of the appetizers that I got. The fried shrimp was decent, the chicken karaage was decent as well, but the last one I was eating was undercooked... that experience just turned the experience down few notches. $42 before tip, 15% tip, toll in and out of USA/Canada, yes expensive meal trip, but it was worth it!

Delicious!!! Great service and overall experience. Pork cutlet could have been warmer but it was still tasty and it was quite busy which is always a good sign.

My ordered us lunch today and the chicken karage we got was raw again, this is the second time this has happened. Never ordering from here again.

Seating was quick. Excellent flavors. Service was slow although response was quick when requested. This was the first time for me at Ajisen, and really enjoyed the food flavors. Takoyaki was flavorfull and cooked to perfection...but not my personal favorite (will try something else the next time). Black sesame seed cheese cakes was awsome! Very rich and full of flavor. Definitely will go again!
We ordered from here from UberEats. The temperature was quite reasonable given the delivery time. Soup base was very good...layered and with complexity and not too salty. I wonder about the noodles as they were in-between regular and thick. I think I would have preferred either thin/regular or thicker. This medium sized didn't hit the spot either way. Eggs were perfectly done and accounted for delivery time.Packaging was excellent.

Went to go to John Max and found that this new location was open, so we gladly traded. The Dougal location was fine but a bit smaller and could get busy, so I’m glad they opened a second location, and closer to my side of town. The ramen is just as delicious and I’m happy that they are open late for afternoon workers and those who want a late dinner.

Food was delicious. Appetizer portion was a bit small but the ramen portion was very big! Service was good- the girls were super nice and helpful with deciding what to get! Only downfall was they didn’t refill our water (super minor). Definitely would come back and have been telling family/friends to check it out!

We loved the Ajisen on Dougall and were very excited that one was coming to East Side. Went tonight while this new location is still in its soft opening phase. The restaurant is bigger and roomier than the other location, which is nice.Food and service were excellent and very fast.Looking forward to eating here again.Kid-friendliness: If your kids like ramen, karaage, or edamame beans like mine do, your kids will quite like this place.
