We had a fantastic time. The half price apps were a huge hit! It's so nice to get out and eat like a champ, have a few drinks, and, still be able to afford groceries for the week LOL! The guys enjoyed watching ALL of the hockey games on the many tvs. This was not our first time going but we had some (older) newbies in our group and they were pleasantly surprised by the price, size and great taste of the food, not to mention the atmosphere on the dining side was great for us!

In the realm of sports bars, John Max is in the major leagues. They're a contender for the championship, even. Fast service and devoted professionalism shown by the front-of-house squad is backed up by the consistently high-quality food arriving promply and piping hot from the kitchen.The menu includes all the classic fare you would expect, with some deliciously creative twists that keep it interesting. I recommend the Cowboy burger.The traditional wings are absolute perfection, lightly breaded to come out hot and crisp, always fresh and juicy within. They have a very respectable assortment of sauces. Try the Nashville Hot, or Applewood smoked dry rub.I am fully impressed with John Max, and it has already become my regular spot in the area. The only reason I didn't give maximum points is that when it gets busy, which is very often, it gets very loud. It's really a 4.8 for atmosphere, but maps won't let me slice it that fine.

John Max Lauzon Parkway is my GO TO place. Love the wings!! The staff are friendly happy and energetic. I book the same table whenever I go. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you guys...I love this place!
The food was great, the atmosphere was great, there were a few hockey games on but the thing that made this visit not the greatest was the fact we felt like we were rushed out of our seats by the waitress because we weren't drinking. There were a ton of tables still open and it wasn't by any means swamped so why rush us out?

Seriously my favourite place to go. I can't tell you how great the owner, staff and food are. The service team is top notch, friendly and quick. I have "my table" and everyone knows me there. John Max is a very special place to me. I'll be back there soon.
