Went to Sam’s for the first time today. His Okonomiyaki was amazing! We loved it in Japan when we lived there, and are so happy to find someone here who makes it so well. And we loved talking with Sam, so friendly, genuine, and interesting a person. 100% recommend, it was a truly special experience! ?

Awesome food made with love. Everything tasted as you would expect and even better. The dumplings are nice and the Chinese crepe was yummy and flavourful.

I've worked in Japan for five years and it is very hard to find Okonomiyaki (translation: things a Mother Likes) or Japanese Pancakes. So I was surprised to see a five star rated place selling Okonomiyaki. Sam makes it by the book and is very detailed with his cooking. He's a retired engineer! It was awesome and tasted just like the Okonomiyaki I had in Japan! Great food and it's nice talking to him while he makes the food right in front of you! Look forward to going back

Hidden gem in the City Market under 2 miles from the Devonshire Mall. The guy is so nice and puts a ton of care into his food. We tried the Japanese pancake (I’ve had this before, but he uses bacon in his which is, well, you know, BACON!) and the Chinese crepe (vegetarian, because again, we had bacon). We had some doubts about the use of American cheese in the crepe, but it really works! The crepe itself is more savory than what you might be used to because of the seasoned egg, and there is a mix of textures with the fried wonton wrapper and cabbage. For dessert we had peanut butter chocolate ice cream and a Syrian crepe. He basically puts a whole banana in, and the combination with tahini and sesame is really yummy without being overly sweet (but he customizes for each person and can make it more or less sweet). Great food, awesome guy!

Found this place on a whim and it's nice to see various street foods from different cultures offered. I had the osaka okonomiyaki and wonton soup, both were very tasty, but careful not to burn your tongue on the soup! Everything is made fresh to order and the owner is such a lovely friendly guy. Nice stand in the City Market to grab a bite while you shop for groceries.

Sam Street Food is a hidden gem in Windsor! Been a while since the last time I ate an authentic Asian street food and his dishes really satisfied my craving. We ordered Japanese pancakes (Hiroshima and Osaka Okonomiyaki). They both taste good but oh boy that Hiroshima Okonomiyaki was the bomb! The dessert crepe was also really good, the best by far in Windsor. Had a little bit of conversation with the owner, Sam, and I could really tell he has a passion in cooking. It would be much better if the place can open till late night as all of the dishes are good for dinner, too bad since it is located in The City Market so it follows the opening time. Probably consider one more branch in the future that opens until late night? :)We will be back to try different dishes. Hands down 5 stars overall!

When you realize he has professional cookware to make Chinese stress food, there is no way to get things wrong. It's so flavourful to find myself back home. No way you can find a place like this in Windsor with reasonable prices and friendly service. Definitely deserves a five star, highly recommended.?

Delicious and Perfect just like the first time I tried the yummy dumplings. Sam is what makes Windsor nice. The whole vibe in that complex is friendly.
