I haven't had Filipino food in years and this place definitely hits. I drove more than an hour for here and I definitely would do it again.

I'm Filipino and lived 30+ years in the Philippines and 4 years in Toronto. I can confidently say that the food, service, and atmosphere here are very disappointing. The palabok was the most disappointing in terms of taste. One of our orders was kare kare. The server said they might not have enough ingredients for it but came back and said they can make it. They served it with all bones and 1 piece of small meat, some veggies. We would've ordered something else to replace it but I guess they thought we wouldn't and wanted to make that sale. The owner kept on cussing to himself in front of customers whenever they made a mistake. They took over an hour to serve us 2 dishes and 1 pancit. I cannot believe I paid $60 for food that I could have cooked better myself by following online recipes.I recommend driving to Toronto or Michigan for good Filipino food.

A couple things:1. Service was not great. The staff didn't acknowledge our table of 4 until we asked her if we could get seated (their alarm system would ring anytime someone opened the door and it was LOUD [I know it was loud. We were seated by the alarm]). The staff who took our orders seemed impatient and annoyed the entire time of ordering our food. The only time I felt like she didn't seem as annoyed at us was when she was giving our orders and when she checked on us while we were dining.2. We waited.... for a LOOONG time. According to my stopwatch, we waited for our orders of 2 A La Carte (1 Pork BBQ & 1 Chicken BBQ), 1 Sinugba, 1 Dinuguan, and 2 bowls of rice for 1hr 15mins. I understand that they were short staffed as mentioned by another staff member passing by, but we should have been informed prior to ordering so we wouldn't have wasted our time.3. The food. OHH MY GOOOSH.... I understand so much why they have a lot of good reviews because the food was great! I had a tiny taste of everyone's order, and they were all delicious! We were especially positively surprised with their twist of the Sinugba.Overall, I'm only giving 3 stars because the service was bad and the wait time was too long. I would've given this establishment a full star if only the staff was more enthusiastic and proactive with helping our table (ex. Lead us to our table unprompted and not raise her voice and tone when I said "Sorry?" for not hearing her properly the first time when she was asking if my sister and I ordered the a la carte, etc.), and if we didn't have to wait so long. I really wanted to give a better rating, but bad service combined with the long wait time really killed our enthusiasm for this business.TL;DR - Food was super delicious! Wait time and service was so bad I had to lower my opinion to 3 stars. I hope it's not always like this because the food is really good, and it's a shame we didn't have an enjoyable experience.

Only Filipino restaurant in Windsor, and I am glad they serve really good food here! Popular even at the bordering states. For starters, I recommend their ala carte lechon kawali (deep fried pork belly, with rice and mango salad), okoy (shrimp appetizer), beef caldereta (tomato stew), and shrimp sinigang (tamarind soup).Leni, the owner, cooks, serves, and manages the restaurant (yes, she does everything!) with passion.Highly recommended!- Angela

Okay, this restaurant is amazing - talo pa mga karinderya sa Pilipinas! (Wins over actual Filipino restaurants in the Philippines!)The whole place brought me back to the Philippines. Their designs, the welcoming atmosphere from the place itself and the people, and the menu options - they have all my Filipino favourites! The Caldereta is AMAZING! The beef is so tender, and the sauce is just *chefs kiss*. My bf said it is his new favourite Filipino dish lol talo pa ang sarili kong luto ng adobo (beats my own cooking of Adobo)This is also the best Caldereta I have ever tasted, it is so similar to how my grandma would cook it (Im in tears). The Lechon Kawali is also just *chefs kiss*. My goodness, it's SO CRISPY and tasty!! They serve it with suka (vinegar) and toyo (soy sauce), but I love my lechon kawali with Mang Tomas (a Filipino-style gravy). I politely asked them if they have and they said yes and gave me some!!! Completes my experience!!! The Garlic rice is so tasty, and the mango salad is good! The Calamares (Calamari) - my goodness you will not be able to stop eating it. The squid and the crispy batter is well balanced, and the sauce is amazing. The owner and the people were also so kind and friendly. 100% Filipino hospitality here!!We also got some ensaymada - so good!!! Thank you po!!!The portions are also good (as you can see in the photos)! The prices are great and it is worth your money and the value for each meal + more appetizers!Overall, this is the best Filipino restaurant Ive ever been here in Canada. It brings me back to the Philippines, and I had to check the map to see if I mistakenly took a plane and went back to Manila (Im still in Windsor).Their menu is also filled with all great Filipino dishes. We will drive from Chatham to Windsor again to eat in this restaurant. This will be our new go-to restaurant in Windsor.Maraming salamat po (Thank you so much)! We will be back!Vegetarian options: There is a whole menu dedicated to vegetarian options!Dietary restrictions: They ask if you are allergic to peanut. We also let them know we are allergic to shellfish. Thanks for checking our allergies while ordering!
