Best Portuguese food in the GTA, and that coming from a Portuguese girl! I moved to Mississauga from Toronto 14 years ago and have tried many Portuguese restaurants in Mississauga/ Brampton area and none were very good so I keep going to Toronto (40+ mins drive). I can tell you, this is where I will be going from now on and I'm telling everyone I know too! (Bonus - only 20 mins from me) Even my bf who is a very picky eater and was very hesitant to try, loved the chicken and rice!

If I could give 6 stars or more, I would. This is the best BBQ chicken I have ever tasted. The service is also 5 stars plus. I have become their regular customer since my first visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed by their services.

I can't say enough about this wonderful restaurant, from the food to the staff. My family was going through a time of need with a death in the family. Without even knowing about this, the owner was willing to open her doors to complete our catering order even though the restaurant was closed that day. Everything was ready for the time we asked and the food was amazing! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the fish was delicious and the whole family enjoyed it saying how well cooked and crispy the breading was. The grilled vegetables were presented beautifully and tasted great, as well as the rice and potatoes. The amount of food fed us all for 2 days during all the hustle and bustle of the couple of days. I highly recommend Avo's for both a family dinner out or catering needs.

Chicken is flame grilled and very moist.Only negative was that some of the potatoes were a little burnt and the hot sauce could be a little hotter.Would still go back though.Good food.

Ordered AVOS for our family event and one person after another kept asking me where I got the amazing food! The piri piri chicken was such a hit. Every bite was infused with flavour and so moist. I don’t know how they do it!The penne a la vodka, rice and potatoes and salad were also delicious and paired nicely with the rest of the meal. Now my family wants this to be our “go to” catering restaurant for any of our future family gatherings. I also want to say that the service is super friendly and welcoming.If you haven’t tried AVOS yet, not just for catering but anytime you want to eat the tastiest meal ever, then do your tastebuds a favour and go see what I’m talking about!

Very similar to nandos.. Got the half chicken combo. Quantity of food was good. Total came to $16. Chicken was already made from earlier. It was cooked well but it was very dry .. I did go towards closing so maybe because of that. And rice was blend. Flavours mostly came from the sauce.

We catered food from Avo’s for a family function. It’s by far the best chicken we’ve ordered. It was moist, fresh and amazing flavor. Portions were very generous and prices reasonable. Everyone asked where we had ordered from. Next day we had left overs and it was still really moist and good. The staff was very friendly too. We can tell they really care about each customer and proving the best food possible. We loved it and will absolutely come back!
