Much better than our last visit. Still think it is ridiculous that you no longer get the relish tray consisting of celery, pickles, carrot sticks, and black olives. What the heck does that cost? Also wish they would use spring mix and romaine on their salads in lieu of iceberg. Like another review stated, so basic!

Another fantastic meal at Jocko's. Fantastic, friendly service from our server Buck on a busy Friday night. Steaks were cooked perfectly as always. This place never disappoints.

A convivial environment. Nice family and friends type place. Bit loud for a quiet date and conversation. Two of us had rib eyes. Both were gristly. Third in party had filet which was good. Garlic bread and ice cream at end of meal nice touch. Beans, pickles and salsa were great!

Tried one of their specials—the rainbow trout. It was cooked on the wood-fired grill. DELICIOUS! And such a huge fish. Could only eat one half. Hubs had his favorite steak. Great meal all around. And excellent value since all entrees come with salad, choice of potato/rice/veggies, beans, bread, and dessert.

Our server was incredible, and kept a close watch on our drinks and was quick to offer another round at the perfect time. The food arrived and everyone enjoyed everything. We always love Jockos and this time went with someone who had never been before and we were all very satisfied.

Server was horrible. Yeah, she had a big party, but it was right next to us. I was a server for many years so I know what it takes. She forgot our appetizer and blamed it on the kitchen. Really, was the kitchen supposed to bring it to us as well? I ordered the 20 oz filet mignon, the first bite was absolutely wonderful. The meat was high-quality and seasoned well, but after the first bite, it was painfully obvious that it was not medium rare but barely rare. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the king crab legs were delicious and my son's cheeseburger was also very good. One of the other good steakhouses such as a hitching post or Shaws would be a far better pick.

We haven't been in 10 Yrs. The Spencer Steak are still off the charts Definitely still Best we have ever had. Its a little date could use update didn't like the pickle tray, or Honey Mustard dressing it had a bite to it. Over All we will love it. Everyone has bad days

Fast and friendly. A salad was fresh. The pickles were delicious crunchy the crackers were fresh. The ice tea was fresh. The Spencer steak was huge and juicy cooked to perfection. Baked potatoes perfect toast, bread perfect. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be returning.

Best Filet EVER!! My wife order the chicken and it was cooked to perfection! Son ordered the double pork chops, WOW! The grill is handled by Masters, they are artists at thier craft! Everything is cooked over red oak and so so good. Been coming to this place for years and never disappointed. Great service but be patient as the food is cooked to order! Can't rush greatness

This was our first time dinning at Jocko's. You came highly recommended by my very good friend who comes to town often. The service and the food were very, very food. Unfortunately, it was very cold where we were sitting. I am very warm blooded by nature and almost never get cold. However, I gave my wife my jacket to put on so she was more comfortable. I was actually getting chills every time someone walked by. I am not the type of person who wants to make waves so I refrained from commenting to the server. Other than that, our experience was very good. We have never experienced pickles and salsa and crackers before. Very unique. We enjoyed it. Thank you.

We enjoy this restaurant, especially when you get a good server like Justin. He made our day! Perfect filet mignon is always the way to start and ice cream at the end to finish your meal. We highly recommend this special local gem! Yummy yummy!

We noticed lots of improvements during our recent visit to Jocko's. In times past (pre-pandemic), we were not able to make a reservation. This time, we did not wait AT ALL for our table. The food was better than before...we especially enjoyed the sides of grilled artichokes and spicy cauliflower. The steak was, as always, marvelous. Service was exemplary. This visit was the most positive of the half dozen times we have eaten at this restaurant. We asked our waitress about the changes, and she mentioned that there was new management. Their efforts to improve the customer experience are not unnoticed. I hope they keep up the good work!

We haven't been to Jocko's in a while. We stop on our way home from Paso Robles to Santa Ynez. Red Oak BBQ can't beet the taste. Food very consistent. We'll be going back again and again!

We loved it! Yes it's a little noisy but the adds to the whole experience. My son and I got amazing steaks, an appetizer, 2 cocktails and dessert was included for under $150!! And the food was perfectly done! This is a must for us anytime we are near pismo

We live in Nipomo and really WANT to love Jocko's, and I've resisted writing a review for that very reason. We have been many times, and nothing horrible, it's just not as great as it could be/once was. This last time, I had filet mignon and it was good, not outstanding, but good. However, my husband had a Spencer steak that he could not even cut with the steak knife. Super tough. My husband never complains about his food, and we were with friends for a night out so he didn't want to make a fuss, but it was inedible. For the money and experience, we would rather drive to Orcutt to go to Far Western and have an outstanding meal. This breaks my heart -- we love our town and really want to support the local eateries, but Jocko's needs some help.
