“It is a quiet and pleasant place to eat traditional food from Colombia and other Latin American countries. The food that I tried was very tasty and the drinks are prepared at the moment. The place is nice and has a space to buy Latin American products and send money through the Ría. As for the service, only the cook was very attentive and pleasant. The cashier and waitress were a bit serious, but never rude. I would go again without a doubt, although my advice to the business is to improve the service.“
“Definitivamente sabor catracho, las baleadas exquisitas, el pollo frito con ese sabor que a los catrachos nos encanta y las pupusas no se quedan atras un sabor espectacular y que decir de la horchata y el fresco de Tamarindo....definitivamente volveremos a visitarlos...“
“Celebrated my bday here today and honestly, hands down the best service, food and atmosphere!!!! Everyone made our group feel so welcome and taken care of. A must try if you’re in the city. Literally everything on the menu was exceptional! Thank you for making my bday celebration extra special. Can’t wait to be back.“
“What an incredible restaurant located in the heart of Woodbridge! Essence Bistro checked all the boxes: delicious variety of food, elevated drink menu and scrumptious desserts in a beautiful atmosphere. Beka was incredibly kind and recommended excellent pairings for both the wine and food.“
“Beautiful and perfect spot for a quick bite or a nice cold agua fresca or cerveza. Latin Dough has a super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Empanadas were bomb and the Mango agua frsca was super fresh tasting! “Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos!Chorizo Tacos + Steak Churrasco - If you're more of a hard shell taco person, this place gives you all the basics - cheese, onions, tomatoes and guac, plus a salty kick of the chorizo. The churrasco is equally filling, I almost couldn't contain this sandwich in my hands as pieces of juicy, tender of beef kept slipping through the cracks of the hands, coated in a tasty combination of guac, mayo and roasted red pepper sauce with a crispy bun.“
“l came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and we were very impressed! Michala took excellent care of us from beginning to end!! She is an asset at Baro and made our visit a memorable one! What a gem. Thank you Michala and thank you Baro!! Special shout out to Avery the hostess who went above and beyond for us upon our arrival!! ?“
“The truth is, for me it is the best Latin restaurant in Toronto. The food is delicious. The service is the same. I have been using the restaurant for many years and its seasoning is still unique and good. I can recommend it without hesitation.La Bella Managua is #1“
“Just tried the chorizo tacos. They were yummy. Like, really yummy. Crunchy hard shell, stuffed with toppings. Meat was good. I’m gonna be thinking about them for the rest of the day.I must return here soon and consume more of these scrumptious tacos.“
“Better than a lot of places I've eaten in Peru! I love their ceviche which they only do on weekends, and they use proper Incan corn (not the dried stuff!). Love their tamales, and this is one of the few places I will eat an empanada at (since they're so sketchy normally).“
“Absolutely charming spot. Only had a small sample of the menu but it was divine. Staff were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going again.Accessibility notes, narrow entrance area, washroom downstairs.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility notes: narrow entrance area, washrooms downstairs.“
“Thank you for a wonderful party on Saturday! The food was fantastic, as always. There was lots of variety and even plenty of great food for the vegans and gluten-free guests. The attentive, caring service was amazing. The attention to detail was fantastic. You made our celebration memorable for everybody. I know we will all be talking about the evening for years to come. A fabulous experience.“
“You walk in and there’s a white piano, so you know it’s going to be a good vibe. The owner is very kind, with some very nice conversations and good recommendations for places to dance in the city. The food: best empanadas I’ve had in the city, the ceviche is also amazing, the pupusas too!I heard that’s there’s open karaoke and dance Saturday nights starting around 9pm, so I’ll have to stop by again!“
“A must try! Cannot recommend highly enough! Our first time trying Venezuelan/Argentinian cuisine, and we will be dreaming about it until we can return. Our server, Luis went above and beyond. He was friendly, helpful, and really made our night. He happily answered our questions and made recommendations. Brought my husband chimichurri because he said it would go best with the beef empanada he ordered (which it definitely did). And because we were swooning over the food, he even brought us another empanada! The food came quickly. We went at 5:30 on a Sunday in March, and didn’t need a reservation. The atmosphere is homey and eclectic. Family friendly. The arepas are to die for. The meat is tender and flavourful, and the arepa itself is soft and buttery. The wasacaca sauce was another hit. Similar to garlic aioli, I was putting it on everything. Our 2 year old was eating it by the spoonful! An absolutely fantastic experience. If we lived in Toronto we would eat here weekly.“
“Absolutely loved La Tienda!Wish I could give more than 5 stars. The selection inside is great - Mexican, Columbian & Costa RicanWe chose "Al Chile" at the very back of the store. The employee was very welcoming & friendly. We ordered 8 tacos & the chicharrón was by far our fave. We even got a Mexican coke!Inside felt homey/cozy & for a moment I felt like I wasnt in Toronto ?I live in the area so I will definitely be back!“
“Do yourself a favor and visit Rosa’s. Service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. The atmosphere is amazing with great music. Highly recommend the spicy margarita, platano con queso & Rosa’s platter. Can’t wait to come back with friends.“
“My partner and I went to the Gardel for Valentines Dinner. Great warm service, lovely atmosphere, music and the food was fantastic!!! We had the trh Gardel mcoktails, Beet Carpaccio, grilled asparagus, camaron am mojo dr ajo (shrimp), crab croquette, coq au vin and finished off with the chocolate mousse. Every dish was filled with flavour and presented beautifully. The team here was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.“
“This is an honest review. The food was actually flavorful! Had the 3 meat tacos, and it was soo good, I ordered 1 more!!!! Liz was the best waitress and was so set and attentive. Love her! DEf Price is up there from 15 and higher for more food, tacos are 6.50+“
“Authentic Ecuadorian food. This had served my cravings for some sopa de carne and sopa de pata but ended up trying their churrasco plate along with their beef and cheese empanadas, and everything was delicious This place has affordable prices and a variety of food dishes to choose from. My Spanish is not so good but I was able to order with my Spanglish. Friendly staff! Definitely will go back soon!“
“I visited in October 2023, and it was for an occasion but it wasn’t with a reservation. We got there and I did read that it would be better with a table but with the group we had, we chose just drinks and dancing. With most places, coming with a group of people is always best and that’s what made it even better. To top it off, the vibe of this place was great, the live band and music was a hit.Would definitely recommend going when they have a live band, the singers give off the energy when wanting the Latin experience in TO.“
“A small empanada spot with some seating areas. They are pretty strict about no outside food and drinks, which is fair.We got the veggie and chicken empanadas to share. Served with salsa, the empanadas are pretty good. The fillings aren’t too heavy (mushroom, spinach, tomatos for the veggie and chicken with boiled egg for the other), it’s a nice light meal to enjoy while you’re out and about at Kensington market.“
“Had a wonderful experience dining at Latin World. We were greeted when we entered and there was good music and a vibrant atmosphere. There was a big selection on the menu and had many vegetarian options. Affordable too. We were also given chips and salsa while we waited for our main dishes. Lots of things to look at and shop around as well, we had a great experience and will definitely be back!“
“Cute little El Salvadorian restaurant with nice vibe. Cash only, but the have Ritual so the few times I've forgotten cash they let me pay on ritual. I think they are my favourite tacos in Toronto. Burritos, tamales and soups are tasty, combo plates are good and huge. I found their pupusas bland. Service is good, though it's usually just one person working the whole joint and they do a good job of it, but might be a little slower in busy times.“
“I went to Baro for a breakup party. The staff went above and beyond to make the night special with personalized gifts and complimentary drinks without being requested. Courtney was truly the most amazing server. I have genuinely never experienced something like this at a restaurant before. The SWEETEST people.“
“I wanted to try an authentic Dominican restaurant. My husband is coming to Canada from RD and I wanted to make sure he could have a taste of home when needed. This was exactly what it is like in RD. The atmosphere, the music and the food were incredible. The waitress was polite and the owner was great. We all loved it and will be back! Xo“
“Authentic Guatemalan food. Grabbed some chile regenos for home some tacos. But while I was the I decided to have lunch. Grabbed the carne Assad with rice , refried beans and Cole slaw and side tortillas . Yum . The sauce on the carne Assads reminded me of how my mum cooked. Give it a try it was delicious . Recommend“
