This used to be my go-to place (from around 2015-2018). It was clean, had professional waitstaff, and served delicious food. Sometime before COVID, I noticed that the hostess one day was dressed unprofessionally, the wait for a table was suddenly chaotic, the decor had changed, the waiter was dressed very sloppily in visibly dirty clothes, and the food wasn't as high of a quality, despite being the same items I used to order. I figured it was an off night and tried again, but had the same experience. After COVID, I still didn't want to throw in the towel on this place I used to love, so I tried eating there two more times. It was worse than pre-COVID. The last time I went in, I officially knew I would not come back. The waitstaff were extremely unprofessionally dressed; the waitress with mismatched tshirt and cropped leggings with lace around the hem (read: pajamas!), slipper like shoes like she'd literally been caught off guard at home. The place was basically empty. There was clutter everywhere; cardboard boxes, bussing trays with dirty dishes, the decor was tacky and damaged. The place smelled bad. The ambiance was so uncomfortable. It felt like being in someone's dirty house who wasn't expecting company. Not AT ALL like the old Frankie's that was always clean and professional. The wait for service and food was long despite being the only customers waiting to order (the one other couple already had food). The menu options were limited. I ordered a cesar that was over-priced, limp, small, and flavorless. The person I was with ordered a steak salad that we literally both laughed at when it arrived. It was priced around $20 but was tiny and came with maybe four tiny thin slices of hideous steak. Literally worse quality than a fast food salad. I've given this place way more chances now than it earned and I'm officially done paying patronage to ownership that is clearly lazy and unprofessional. I heard these are not the same owners as the ones from 2015, which really shows.

Food was good. I ordered scallops. $22. And got 5 scallops on a bed of mashed peas. Spouse got a burger. It was ok. But same thing we could have gotten at appletrees for a fraction of the price. Server was really green and had a repeatably had to be ask for same thing multiple times.

Busy Friday night, between 6 & 7, so we sat at the bar. The whole bar--the ENTIRE bar--was dirty. It hadn't been wiped since at least the night before. Nasty. Two bartenders were working, too. Ordered a drink (NOT dinner) just to see if anyone would notice the state of the surface. They did not. Paid and left.

We are lucky to have such a quality restaurant in this area. This is the place I recommend for all birthdays and special event dinners. They only use the finest of local ingredients and have a rotating menu that always has something for everyone.

Some of the best food I have had in years, the meatball sub comes with a pesto, but they were super understanding about me not being able to have pesto and switched it up when I asked. The french fries are delicious and have a great crunch to them, the wait staff was absolutely stellar and the dessert was to die for.Already have reservations to go back in about a week, 10/10 - Even if I had to wait over an hour for the food I'd go there. Just fantastic.A note to mention! They have gluten free options for my friend who can't have it, and he says the food was out of this world, as well as the desserts.Dietary restrictions: They have lovely gluten free options, and were willing to take pesto off a dish since I couldn't have it.

Absolutely loved treating my friends to dinner here. The steak was massive and tasted juicy and delicious. Perfectly cooked.

Took the family there tonight 9/22 and wasn't really pleased with the overall experience. After 15 minutes we were asked if we wanted a drink. Then another 15 minutes later our order was finally taken. We didn't get our plates until almost an hour after sitting down at our table. It's a Friday night and you can expect delays, normally, but the place wasn't too full and there were plenty of staff not doing a whole lot. I ordered streak frites and it was alright. Seemed a little under seasons, but I could just be a little irked at having waited so long.Trying to not be super judgy, but there's not really a big drive for me to want to come back.

The menu is awesome and the restaurant is inviting. The food was poorly executed and the restaurant was under staffed. Our waitress/bartender made us mojitos that we could not drink had to send back the kids drinks sense they were something completely different than ordered.

I ordered the calamari and clams off the appetizer menu for lunch with my husband. I was mind boggled, they battered and fried lemon slices with the calamari and it was DELICIOUS. Genius. There were pepperoncini in there too, clams were great as well, but I’m just stuck on that amazing calamari and lemon pairing. ?

3 of us order 14 oz. Rib Eye steak, we got about 20 oz. or more Rib Eye/New York steak that was one of best flavored steaks I've had other than very expensive streak houses at 2 the price. Excellent meal and service. EOBFGL

We sat outside on the deck. Our servers' were great. Our food was well over done to the point we sent two of four appetizers back. The second attempt of shrimp was acceptable but nachos were so over done we didn't eat them. Took them home to hubby and he didn't want them so we tossed.

Had the hummus platter. Great variety of fresh greens.

Covid convulsed the restaurant industry. Many of my favorite venues closed, and waitresses I knew by name have moved on. As a senior dining alone, I no longer feel welcome in many places. I knew that Frankie's was under new ownership and Suji and his team have not disappointed me. Wine pours are good and generous. I live out of town, haven't been able to explore the dinner menu, and usually confine myself to a salad at lunch. With tip, I often drop close to $30, but other places have raised prices too, and Frankie's is reliably welcoming and performing as a special treat, and I am satisfied with value.

We generally enjoy going to Frankie's, but today's visit was less than wonderful.Hubs and I shared the hummus plate - it's not your traditional Middle Eastern hummus, but was served with cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled red onions and feta. Easily enough for two as an appetizer.Hubs had linguini with clams. Plenty of clams and he said it was quite good.I had the fish and chips. Easily the WORST fried fish I've ever had. Batter was thick and tasted like overcooked pancake batter - dark, oddly sweet and very greasy. After I pulled off the coating, there was very little fish left. I mentioned this to our server who took the pieces of coating back to the kitchen to show the chef. I heard nothing more about it and I was charged the full price for the meal - a discount would have been appreciated, especially at an upper scale restaurant like this. PLUS - WARNING- they charge 50 cents for a tiny side of ranch dressing that was suggested by the server. This seems downright cheap for a restaurant charging these prices. BTW - their French fries are WONDERFUL!This is decidedly a low key casual restaurant with a chef driven menu. We will continue to go back. When they're good, they're great. When they miss, they miss by a mile.
