Some incredible food that made me order seconds before I was done with my first meal, I’m not a big fan of coconut but none of the food tasted overly coconut, cocktails were great, and the staff were polite and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant but not overly interesting or overwhelming!

We were returning customers tonight and we were just as impressed with the food, comfortable ambiance, and welcoming service as our first experience. 5 stars deserved all around but especially our server Alec who happily went above and beyond expectations to ensure our group had a good evening

We celebrated my fathers birthday dinner at Blue Toba. I've been eating here well before they moved, but this was my first time back since the move. The food is exactly as I remember it. The meat in my dish was tender & flavorful. The fried rice dish that my son had was new to the menu & incredible! My father also had the fried rice & ate every bite. This is a great restaurant to support!!

DELICIOUS vegan options (majority of the menu is vegan) & fun cocktails and mocktails. Our server Chelsea was great. We did family style, ended up ordering a second round of the noodles because we enjoyed them so much! Even dessert was vegan! Overall loved dining here and will definitely be going back/recommending to friends! Updated from previous review on 2024-02-25

Food was ok, not 45 minute wait ok, though. I’ll bring a flashing sign next time so they don’t forget about my table. Also the owner seems like a nutcase.

The food is very good and the place is lovely. It's just that they totally forgot my order and I'm sitting there for like 40 minutes and then I'm like 'what's up?' and they tell me they just put the order in.. I ordered noodles with veggies - not like it was a major production or anything. The place wasn't packed either. It was a weekday. They just dropped the ball.

One of my favorite restaurants in Ashland. I usually ask for the "old special" with tofu from their previous location. It's not longer on the menu.

My daughter was celebrating a special occasion and because of my heart condition I was not able to be there with her. Instead I opted to treat her to dinner at a restaurant of her choice. It is to my regret that she picked Blue Toba. She ended up waiting for her food for some 45 minutes while the Owner/ Manager Leslie chatted with other customers, but saw no reason to come to her table and apologize for the delay or offer an appetizer, usually customary when guests have to wait an extraordinarily long time. She watched other guests who had arrived at the same time as her being served and finishing their meals. She was finally presented with a lukewarm watery curry and a meger portion of rice. Having completed their meal the table next to her started having loud conversations about bodily fluids, excrement, STD's and other inappropriate table talk. My daughter brought this to the attention of the staff who spoke to the Mgr. who refused to come out or address the issue, leaving the staff to deal as best they could. Finally they offered to move her rather than ask these people to not disturb other customers, but at this point the damage had been done, her appetite ruined. She did not finish her meal and a refund was not offered, nor a replacement of the meal to take home and enjoy later when not so grossed out. Instead she was given a "free dessert" which hardly was compensation for such a bad experience. She called me on the phone on her way home shaken and upset. The following evening I called the restaurant and spoke with Leslie who seemed to be sympathetic to my daughter's experience, apologized and offered to refund her for the meal. She was in the process of giving me an email address to send the contact info to when she was abruptly cut off in mid sentence. I assumed the call had been dropped so I called back only to hear the voice of an angry man answer the phone. I explained I had been cut off from my convo with Leslie and he shouts "YOU GET NOTHING!! I am the owner, I hear the whole conversation and you get NOTHING!!!" He then goes into a tirade that was barely intelligible. I again politely ask him to let me finish my conversation with Leslie and point out that a refund was promised to me by her but continues to shout at me, insult my daughter, insult me and insinuate that I am trying to get "Free food and not pay." I point out to him this isn't a professional way to treat a customer and He says "Everyone in this town knows me, I don't care" In my entire life I have never had a proprietor of an establishment treat me in such a rude manner. I have since read some reviews and come to the conclusion this is not an isolated incident. You are not allowed to complain here regardless of the experience, delays, or less than satisfactory food.

One of the best restaurants to ever open in Ashland. Every dish is tremendous. Cannot get this kind of food within a 500 mile radius. Rare and delicious!
