I came in wanting at least two cocktails. Service was so slow I hardly had time for one. Food and drinks are very good, but service was terrible.

Posted the menu as of 4/27/22 as we noticed older pictures weren't the same as in the restaurant. We LOVED our food here. Some of the best sushi we have had. Great flavor and fresh ingredients. Cocktails were on point, dine time was average for a sushi bar. Very cool classic building was vibin'. Will def come back!

Saw the pics and read the reviews. Whatever people were experiencing is NOT what they are now. Uninspired bland sushi. Super thin cuts of fish. Rice way to thick. Slightly hard rice. Look at the pics and tell me that’s quality sushi. Wow!! So disappointing. Truly wondering if ownership changed or something. Service was great. Both ladies were on it and very friendly. But wow the sushi was bad! So disappointing when compared to the pics from “2 months ago”.

Great food but service last time we were there was maybe the worst experience I've ever had in Ashland---incompetent I can handle but this server was rude and hostile. If you're in the mood for sushi, Kobe down the street is a solid choice and Alchemy for cocktails.

Have been coming here for the past 2 years and never disappoints! The rolls with citrus on top are delicious and the couple of cocktails I've had from here are also really good. Their ramen is also good -- very solid choice overall for a local spot in Ashland.

My favorite spot for sushi, ramen and dining atmosphere in Ashland- hands down. Kobe is awesome too but more expensive with less small bite options. They've seemed to struggle throughout covid (like so many of us) with staffing, so be patient and i'm sure you'll enjoy your visit. Definitely try the umami fries, the spicy pork ramen, the pearl cocktail (i think that's what it's called?), and the tycho roll!

Sushi was delicious! Highly highly recommend their cocktails. Very creative and refreshing. The bar was a neat spot to sit at super cozy.

My first time here:) Service was superb!!! Take a bit longer to get foods but it's expect because of pandemic. I ordered wine with nigiri and fish is super fresh, sushi rice just right portion, texture and flavor. Ordered Kalbi which is excellent choice for keto diet but just a bit on salty side but with a good glass of wine then it's a perfect marriage Cocktails are very creative and good price, wine selection is small but excellent choice. I am definitely coming back here and highly recommended!!! I ate so much but best feeling is the foods are healthy and

I went in for a drink and some food. I left after being completely ignored for 25 minutes. They were not particularly busy, and they actually waited on a patron who entered 15 minutes after me and sat down right next to me.

Accidentally rated one star, my apologies. It must've been done while phone was in my pocket or something! But this place is great! Awesome food and drinks with friendly staff☺️

1 star taken off for dirty plates: 2 of 4 plates that we got had some kind of sticky sauce at the bottom. The waitress got us clean ones upon request, but it was a turn off.Food: our friends ordered Umami Fries out of curiosity. Well, it's just fries with some aioli and sesame seeds. Short rib bites were flavorful and tender. Sushi rolls were okay. (My husband compared them to the grocery store sushi...)

Come here for the drinks, friendly service, and really nice atmosphere.Have been here a half dozen times recently, and it has been consistently decent.

TLDR- BLATANT Covid-19 safety violations (packed bar seating) and misleading/rude customer service. Ok the long version now- we were looking for a spot to grab some nice cocktails and dinner as we were staying in Ashland. Judging by the online photos and menu we thought we were in for a great dinner and drinks (hence the 2 stars). We called ahead when we were about an hour from arriving and while they didn't take reservations we were told there was plenty of seating. When we arrived, the end of the bar was full of people eating and drinking and we were told that they were at capacity and we should come back in ~35 mins. We thought people sitting at the bar close together was kinda weird but hey, we live in California where restrictions have always been intense - maybe things were just different here? That was until the manager at the next place we went to (to wait out the 35 minutes) informed us that bar seating without plexiglass and not spaced 6' between parties is illegal in the state of Oregon . We thought, ok we are vaccinated and really craving some sushi and cocktails, let's just go back and maybe we can get one of the tables instead of sitting at the superspreader bar. When we came back things had gotten even busier... two guys were literally wrestling by the door and as we went back to check in with the hostess after our 30 min wait we were told the kitchen was closed. Full stop. No apologies. Wtf? We followed instructions and still didn't get seated. It didn't help that on our way out we were mocked by some drunk patrons under their breath Bc we were "f-ing wearing a mask". By that time it was 8:30 and most other nice places in the area were closing at 9 so we had to settle for takeout after walking all around Ashland trying to get a last minute table. It's a shame for them Bc we probably would have rung up a nice tab and bill for them (I imagine more than the rowdy bunch that they chose to serve instead). If you're looking for a nice dinner, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a place operating as if Covid doesn't exist with their bar, maybe this is the place for you. For the restaurant- I really considered reporting you all to the health department, but because I don't live here I chose not to. Perhaps you still can change things and at least put the bar stools/parties 6' apart... in case you need it, here's a screenshot of the rules in Oregon for bars
