Beets were excellent. Sent the pork back red and room temperature. The server response did not help and was made to feel this was my problem. Not for me.

This place has been our go-to for date night for some time. However the last few times we’ve been there the food was not good. Our last visit we ordered Brussel sprouts which were terribly undercooked and had a flavor of dish water with a small amount of sauce spooned right in the middle not coated or anything. The duck breast was flavorless and so chewy and tough I would not eat it. The crab salad was amazing and the mocktails but sad to say we probably will be going elsewhere for awhile and hope the quality improves.

The atmosphere is calm and quiet. The service was OK. As far as the menu… I expected more for the price of their food. I paid $69 for a steak that was cooked way too rare… very bloody…. served with fries…? Super chewy!!! Fries as a side to 69$ steak??? No veggies… The salmon was also very dry.Not worth it, I have had way better steaks at Brickroom or Harvey’s in Ashland. Don’t waste your money.

Overall, it was a fine experience, just not what you'd expect from a high caliber establishment. Our service was on the slower side; absolutely fine. Maybe that is their style. Maybe they were understaffed. No big deal, we were not in any rush at all. It was double date night, and we had good company and good conversation. We started our meal with oysters and some other appetizers. Everything was delicious, and we were off to a great start. Dinner, however, was a big miss, in my opinion. The table ordered the duck noodles which lacked duck; the market fish special which was too salty (I don't usually shy on the seasoning); and the duck breast which was not rendered properly and chewy. The ribeye and fries were perfection, the saving grace from the entree course. Somehow, every morsel of the huge serving was happily consumed. Must order ribeye!Again, not a total loss, but I expected more from a restaurant with this kind of reputation and price tag.

Disappointing food at too high of prices. Undercooked brussel sprouts and weirdly sweet fries. I suggest more than just straight olive oil for bread dipping. Weird and unusual food pairing throughout. Will not be coming back.

I tend to return to an environment that extends top notch customer service, you will not get that at Peerless. We were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary and although the environment was beautiful, the experience was not welcoming. Our server was short tempered and annoyed with our in our older years. We were curious and had questions that must have been perceived as ignorant. The food was not worth the price we paid. I'll go down the street as Ashland has many classy establishments with good food and excellent customer service.

The service was spotty. Our server could not answer a question about wine and went to get someone else. He was knowledgeable and helped us make our choice, but then our waitress didn’t come back until 15 mins later. She came to take our food order, but didn’t explained daily specials until we prompted her. When we were ready for dessert, the third person came out with dessert menus and took our order, the our waitress reappeared with duplicate dessert menus — she didn’t know that our order was already taken by someone else. The food was of uneven quality— some really tasty, other — blah.Vegetarian options: Side vegetable dishes, but no vegetarian entre

Our first post-Covid visit revealed a differently wonderful combination of flavors, presentation, and service than we remembered pre-pandemic.The menu offerings are a bit (happily) eclectic. Many that appealed to my no-red-meat palate were starters so that a shared sampling of cucumbers, fries, and a simple salad makes a satisfying meal. The starter sizes are ample, but more importantly the tastes are delicious and somewhat not what you're expecting. Inventive, but not scary. Both times we went in July we had no play to rush off to, and the servers seemed comfortable with our slow pace. Others came and went, but we relaxed and order another course or cocktail. We probably fit in to the overall pace of the restaurant -- the bar earns its reputation for slow… err… deliberate service! The seafood special was an excellent salmon which I had one visit. The red-meat pork special made our mammal-flesh-eating co-diners very happy. And one of the nights we kept going and had deserts (Chocolate Budino and sorbets) which were very nice toppings to a satisfying night.

Top tier dishes including delightful specials. If you can try to get seated in the garden, it is a special way to enjoy the beauty of Ashland.

My food was delicious the salmon was cooked to perfection with the exception of too much salt and the lack of other garnishes took away the perfection. Price seems a little high. The host was excellent, the waiter was ok, perhaps he doesn’t like people with natural tan very much, I saw him being very nice to people without a tan.Just enough to notice it.

From the moment we arrived and we’re greeted by the host until we left the experience was phenomenal.Marc (our server) was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and made the entire experience great. We selected the gazpacho and steak tartar as starters. The main dish was the salmon that was cooked to perfection. The have a great wine lis and nice wines by the glass. I highly recommend Marc and this restaurant.
