After checking the city out for an upcoming middle school field trip and hiking through the immersive old growth of the Cathedral Tree Trail, I shared a wonderful TLT (Tempeh Lettuce Tomato) with my soul mate at this great spot below Fort George Brewery. Lots of veggie and vegan options, baked goods and made to order sandos and burritos- along with whole loaf bread to-go.Our sandwich was perfectly crisp, filled with savory tempeh bacon, sliced tomatoes, greens and avocado. A dainty yet effective side-salad and mini pickle added value and a bit of flourish. Decaf double oat milk latte for the ride home...Make a stop here, find the non-disposable napkins, real silverware and eclectic magazines for purchase as proof that someone here has vision.

I feel mixed about this bakery. My husband and I had come here about a year ago (2023) and had a great experience. The over all ambiance and food was great and service was nothing special, but we felt welcomed. This time was different.. the line to order was a mess, I’m pretty sure we “cut in front” of a couple because no one knew where to go. Then, our food was all cold. (Quiche, croissant and cinnamon roll) all items tasted great, but it was hard to get past the temperature.. we weren’t given an option to have them warmed and didn’t think to ask, as most places would do this automatically.. I had to repeat my drink order, an iced vanilla latte, twice.. and I received a regular latte. Coffee is coffee so I drank it. My husband ordered an Italian soda which was flat. We come to the area a couple times a year and I was hoping this would be a frequented spot but this last time left a lot to be desired :(

Super cool little bakery in Astoria. The food was delicious although the eggs/toast/potatoes took about 20 minutes to get out to me. It wasn't a big deal though - the coffee was *CHEFS KISS* and we sour cream coffee cake was moist and decadent but not overly sweet.Great atmosphere too! Such a fun little breakfast place and we'll definitely visit again when we're back in town!they have vegan options also which is so nice for a small town bakery.

This is the best bakery I have ever been to. I love bakeries, I've worked at two, and have high standards for baked goods. They had my favorite pastry (swedish morning bun) and my favorite bread (rye), and I was truly wowed by the quality of both. The coffee was delicious, as were the juevos rancheros. The staff were amazing, helpful, and kind. I'm so stoked I found this place, and hope to return many more times! Y'all rock!

November of '23, my husband and I took a trek from Montana to collect my 90 year old mum from Ilwaco and take her on a little mini vacation to Seaside. Before traveling over to my mum's we decided to get some coffee. We are always on the look out for good espresso.Well folks, let me encourage you to go to Blue Schorcher Bakery & Cafe if you are looking for wonderful coffee - simply the best in town!In their cookie jar, piled on top of each other were these inviting Cosmos Cookies - celiac friendly - my husband cannot have oats as he becomes catatonic. To be clear, gluten free oats, simply means it is not packaged in a gluten free environment and that is all.Back to those 'morsels of goodness'!YES! It was pure GOODNESS and did not lie heavy in the tummy. When my memory of that trip to Astoria comes to mind, I think of delicious espresso and Cosmos cookies. OH YUM!

Has that distinct hippie coffee shop smell that I love (sorta herbaceous). Breakfast sando and coffee were delicious. Great selection of day-old loaves. Pretty sure it's entirely vegetarian.
