This place is huge and wonderful. All manner of Indian spices, groceries, and other gifts/goods, as well as yummy hot food for lunch and dinner (eat in, takeout, deliver).

Really anything you could need from freshly prepared hot food to frozen snacks. Fairly priced and always stocked. Just wish it was closer to Portland!

We have been going to Apna Chat for years. I called to inquire if the store would be open during the holidays. The bored female answered the phone 'Yah" and then said 'Yah' they would be open and could not be bothered. Well, they were not open. I went out of my way to go there based on the 'Yah' Thanks for nothing. Stop being so lazy. Time to check out the umpteen other Indian shops in the area.

Great Indian store in this location, they also have a kitchen here, the food definitely good and cheap in price, I got large biriyani, this was sufficient for 3 people

I keep going back to this store for their delicious hot Indian food! It is authentic and the portion size of their biryani is huge! There are a variety of Indian pastries as well.

Everything is reasonably priced here that’s why 2 stars. We tried samosa and mysore masala dosa. Both were bad. Samosas were not only not fresh, they didn’t taste good either.Mysore Masala dosa basically had a paste of garam masala on the inside and was a bit too salty. Sambhar had too much masala in it. Red chutney was with dosa was also a bit too salty. We did not like what we got. May be other dishes are good. But if you want good dosa or samosa, this place is not for it.

Best Indian in pdx, period. Butter chicken so good you wonder if you’ve ever actually had butter chicken before or if your whole life has been a lie. The cheese dosa is a beautiful merger between Indian dosa culture and American melted cheese culture. Biryanis overflowing, itself alone enough to feed a family of 5. Worth driving to the outer burbs every time.

Most items do not have a price or no price tag/sticker on shelves. If you buy a lot of stuff, you could be surprised by the charges you see in the invoice at a later point. There are many expensive shops and this one is one of them. On top of that, no items can be returned. The people who work on the floor seem to be hardworking. A very dark burnt layer of samosa packed in a to-go box in the restaurant section does not justify the tag either. The produce section seems to be good.
