Can be a little loud when busy. Seating leaves something to be desired and needs more personal seating. The staff there was absolutely wonderful from the moment we walked in till the time we left. Super friendly and attentive. The food...Oh my, the food... my wife had the ribeye, and I had the 6oz filet mignon. We both had moments of bliss per bite. I have never had a steak so flavorful, so moist, so tender that I would rather let it break down on its own rather than chew it. I should have ordered the 10oz instead as the 6 Oz left me wanting more. I am a picky eater, never do I eat the fat on a steak... today that changed. Couldn't have picked a better place for a steak.

Unique & charming neighborhood steakhouse with great food. Cozy, vibe, and decent pricing. Service was a bit slow at the onset, but if you go in there, not in a hurry, it's not a problem. Service definitely came with care. Food presentation was very nice and particularly enjoyed the bread that was served with the meal. Full bar available and lots of wine options. They just started promoting meet & mingle evenings which you can find on their Facebook page. Sounds great. Pay a flat rate and sip some wine and meet your neighbors while tasting good food.

We enjoyed our visit to Grill 68. The food was pretty much on par cost wise from other steak houses. The service wasn't rapid, but was cordial and friendly. Our steak needed to be returned to the kitchen to obtain the medium rare that we ordered. Also, their website is not up to date regarding hours (closed Sunday). The bread was stale—apparently cut on a previous day of the week and then served on Saturday. We enjoyed 2 kinds of steak that were flavorful and enjoyed the Cesar salad. All in all—it was a good experience and we enjoyed our food. It's lovely to have a steak restaurant close by and I'm sure we will return again.

This restaurant was excellent. Our server Elaine catered to a members dietary needs while at the same time recommending the best local Pinot Noir selection. The food was perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes are large. We will definitely make this restaurant a priority every time we are in the area. This was a great find for our group.

Was optimistic about a first-time visit. First, walked in three minutes before our reservation and stood near the menus/entry for three minutes while people looked at us and talked with each other. Kinda weird. Not a long time, but being looked at the whole time? Pretty weird. Then taken to a table.Tiny table. Bread was good, with compound butter. Not great, but good. Cocktails were good. Salad was cheap and less than boring. Steak was well-cooked and tasty. Lamb chops were very strangely thin. Shrimp was very under-seasoned. And waitress said we would get 4 shrimp to share, but 3 arrived. Ordered risotto as a side. (menu is ala carte, btw). It was NOT risotto! Wikipedia says risotto is "an Italian rice dish cooked with broth until it reaches a creamy consistency." Their risotto was rice with cheese and mushrooms. Zero creaminess. ZERO. Like a bowl of rice at a Chinese restaurant with cheese stirred in. See pic. Disappointing. And we shared the salad, the entree and the risotto. Also, the staff was not attentive. And seemed to lack a team approach. Missing items, leaving plates on the table for a long time. Not high-end service like the prices imply. And it was $125.50. Before tip! SO overpriced for what you get. Yes, they can make a cocktail. And cook a steak. But otherwise, a big disappointment.

We were excited to try this restaurant for an early Valentine's date night. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. We had reservations. Upon walking in, we waited for about 10 minutes in the entryway before anyone greeted us. After finally being seated, they sat us at a wobbly table wayyy too close to a table of 10+ abnoxiously loud guests. There were other open tables that they could heave seated us at. We sat at our table for another 20 minutes without a server even asking if we would like something to drink. Meanwhile , she was hamming it up and taking photos with the large party next to us. My husband and I were both really trying to have an open mind about this place but we decided to leave. As we were putting on our jackets, the server finally came over to us. We left a tip and left very disappointed. We have kids and don't get a lot of nights out together just the two of us. We ended up going to a restaurant down the road and did our best to recover from the disappointing experience. Will not go back.

Elaine was amazing! I had my birthday dinner here on a Thursday night. Originally it was 12 but I had to add 2 more seats last minute and thankfully they were able to accommodate. It's an intimate place but the food is amazing and Elaine's service was Michelin Star Level. Thank you so much Elaine!

We've been going to Grill 68 since it opened 3 years ago, and we love the people and the food. It's a nice little neighborhood restaurant that serves high-quality food, at decent prices, and with great service. Great spot for date night!

Food was pretty good. The help started out OK, but slowly diminished to pretty much nothing. Beverages were slow to come to the table and after we received our meals.... Nobody checked to see if the food was OK. Nobody came by to refill our drinks. Both hosts came past our table no less than seven times without checking in on us. Our empty water glasses, empty wine glass, and empty beverage glass sat at the corner of the table pretty much the entire time during our meal. Might give it another try someday simply because my steak was pretty good.

This place is phenomenal! I don’t understand how it is not packed all the time. We were looking for a place to get a good steak that was anywhere but Portland, especially downtown. We ran into this on Google. The reviews were great and I’m so happy we checked it out. We got bread, polenta salad, and coconut shrimp for appetizers. All delicious! For the entrées we got a porterhouse and a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and mushroom risotto. All delicious! The steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert we got a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end the meal. This was a celebration dinner so we spent a good amount of money on this meal but they have a great selection of good quality cuts and other great options that aren’t priced as high. Also, the drink menu is extensive. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but they have a non alcoholic menu made with zero proof ingredient's, so I was able to have an old fashioned without the alcohol in it. That was a really nice surprise because I missed the taste of those but couldn’t drink them. I didn’t realize that was even a thing. We will definitely be back to this place in the future! Finally, I would like to mention, Elaine. She was our server. Best in the business! Her customer service was top notch, she was sweet and walked us through menu options when we couldn’t decide, and was extremely knowledgeable on the menu. I honestly wish I could have an “Elaine” at every restaurant I eat at. She made the experience there even better. 10 out of 10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Everything about this beautiful neighborhood steakhouse is just perfect. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for to have a holiday dinner with our family of 5. The food was outstanding and service was top notch! If you live in the Progress Ridge area and have not been to this place, you are missing out! And if you live further away, it's definitely worth the drive!

This was our first time here. They were out of several items and didn't tell us until we ordered, would've been nice to know when we arrived and got our menus. Food was pretty good, slow service and we waited forever to get a refill on waters.
