Arrived around dinner time so I understand it can be busy. But I didn’t expect it to be this bad.Don’t expect any service as they only have one worker. 10 hungry tables patiently waiting for their water let alone food. They were quick to take our order, but took over 45 minutes to get any side dishes out—they also ran out of side dishes so we only got kimchi…Actual food finally arrived 25 minutes later and it was mediocre at best. Soggy pancake was the worst offender.Hate to say it, but I highly suggest you to find a different restaurant.

Delicious and yet reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit. The seafood pancakes is well cooked. It’s crispy outside and soft inside.

Our go to for Korean dining. Updated post-pandemic menu still has a good selection of popular dishes. Our faves are the Galbi Tang (pictured), Bi Bim Bap and Meat Jeon. Prices are on point and you won’t be disappointed even if you have to wait to be seated.

Cozy/Mom and Pop vibes. The food was great and the service was awesome. I love the soup and we were able to choose our spice level on all my dishes.

It’s an unassuming place: smallish and efficient. I always come here to get my Korean food fixes!! I only order the two dishes: Bibibop with beef abd tge seafood tofu soup. They never disappoint! My husband likes to order the stir fry squid and always loved it. Recommending this place to anyone!

Haerim is an amazing place. The food is on a level of its own. Try the bulgogi beef and you will not regret it. The little plates they bring out are really tasty and work well with the meal and as an appetizer. The reason I’m giving four stars because it seems like the portions have gotten smaller, and the service can be very slow sometimes. However, their food is top tier

Hae Rim is one of the best hole in the wall Korean places in Portland. The service has always been fast, the food is good, and the server is very polite and friendly. Great place for a quiet lunch.

1st time having Korean food. Customer service is great here. The food was delicious and perfectly spicy! The place is clean.

The other reviews are right; their portions for takeout are tiny (barely fills half of the box and can pass for a kids menu item). Also, they only pack 1 set of side dishes for 2 bibimbaps.

Since moving to Portland last year, this has definitely been our go to date night spot. The owners are wonderful and the food is never disappointing. My wife always gets the galbi, I usually get the yuk gae jang or soondubu, and we get pan fried mandu to share. Of all the Korean places we've tried in the Portland area, they have our favorite mandu and best marinade for the galbi.

I was very disappointed with the 3 dishes my family ordered (yukgaejang, pajeon, and rice cake soup with dumplings). Overall, each dish was extremely bland, and the service was terrible. It seemed like the owner was working, but he seemed cranky and was inconvenienced when I asked for one refill of the side dishes. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any family/friends.

I have been going to Hae Rim for years! Always one of my favorite spots for good Korean comfort food. I usually get their dolsot bibimbap, soondubu, or the bibim naengmyeon. Their banchan are consistent, usually they have the potatoes, broccoli, kimchi, fish cake and bean sprouts. My favorites are their potatoes and fish cakes. Service here is a hit and miss. The current owner is doing everything. Sometimes I have to hunt him down to refill my water or ask more banchan. I do miss the old owner from several years ago. Since the pandemic, I haven't gone here until recently. Looks like they revised the menu and got rid of some items such as their bentos. Business also looks slow. My party is sometimes the only one eating there during prime meal times. I keep coming back because I want to support local businesses and the food quality is always amazing.

First time here. Ordered the Beef Dolsot Bibimbap and my friend ordered the pork version, each $15 a bowl. Very disappointed as both bowls were essentially vegetarian. Think they had bits of protein but more like the essence of meat. Also service was not great, very rushed and unfriendly. Probably not coming back - $30 better spent somewhere else.

Today I went to get some yummy food, 9 years ago this place was the best Korean restaurant, the people in charge was nice and they treated me like family… new management is bad especially if you are Hispanic… I was there today waiting until they open, after me,got other people Caucasians( facial expressions talk too) they run to open the door for them, they got food before I did and i got there before they did ??
