Having visited Japan multiple times and trying their street food and what not this, place was pretty spot on and close as you can get to the actual goodness of a savory and delicious Japanese style hot dog! I highly recommend the kimchi spicy dog as it's huge and filling but at the same time flavorful and you won't forget it once you've had it, especially if you've tried kimchi before. The place is easy to find, the staff is great, the food is hard to decide on as there's so many good choices, and you won't be disappointed with your visit. You'll be wanting to come back at least once or twice a week. For what you get, it's a great deal.

In PDX suburbs, this is the closest Japanese-style hot dogs experience to Japadog! The hotdogs themselves are done very nicely, and for toppings, highly recommend the Spicy kimchi and Curry flavors! It is on the very savory side and the ratio of bread to hot dog/toppings can be overwhelming.

Ordered the Tatanmen Hot Dog and Spicy Kimchi Hotdog. Honestly, worth it and not bad for the price! It wasn't too salty and the flavors were just right. Tantanmen- the pork gave it a spicy kick, but the chile mayo complimented the spicy flavor. The buns were just bread and not actual hotdog buns. One thing I'd recommend is for them to toast the bun or fry that badboy with butter on a pan to make it crisp. Viola! The spicy kimchi hotdog was spicy leaving that tingly feeling on my lips. Be prepared! Also, loved the host! He was so nice, engaging, and friendly!

The curry hot dog looked and tasted just as good as their posted pictures. I will be back next for the spicy one. My only complaint is they forgot to season my chips. I was looking forward to the Sansho Pepper + Sea Salt ones.

Our favorites are the spicy kimchi dog, the curry dog, and the tantanmen dog. Also, the hotdogs have a wood smoke taste From being charcoal grilled. We love Japanese food, especially ramen. This place was a refreshing surprise in the Japanese food realm!

My husband and I split the Curry and the Katsuo hotdogs. I enjoyed both, but I had been anticipating more Japanese flavors coming through. The Curry, in particular, just tasted like a nice American style hotdog. I thought the bun was tasty, but also a little heavy on the bread. I got the Corn + Aonori chips, and my husband had the Togarashi +Shoyu chips, which I tried. I thought both were delicious and would love to eat these chips again. My food was lukewarm, but I think that was the fault of DoorDash and not the restaurant, so I didn't reflect that in my rating. This place is good, but I don't know if I'd choose it over other restaurants.
Had this delivered via grub hub. Due to the weather the hot dogs were a bit cold on arrival, but they were still delicious! I had the Katsuo hot dog and my wife had the Goma-negi hot dog. Both were delicious and I'll definitely be ordering from here again in the future.

The bread was fantastic, but maybe could have been a bit less present. 3.5/5. I got the s(anshito?) pepper chips. They were so spicy my lips were buzzing for half an hour.

This is a delivery only spot. I ordered from Grubhub and it arrived warm & tasty. The hot dogs are cooked over charcoal and topped with an assortment of toppings that are interesting and pair well with the chips. We ordered the Katsuo and Curry dogs and for chips tried the Ume Shiso and the Corn Aonori. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the chips. We liked the corn one only slightly better but I really need to try the other flavors! The Katsuo dog was good but it was outshined by the Curry one. Such great flavor! Will definitely be ordering from here again :)
