I got Al Pastor & Carnitas street tacos. Kiddo got carnitas gordita, mom got the chicken tacos and we shared an order of the chicken flautas. We all tried everything. I'd pass on the tacos and carnita/al pastor meat in general. Carnitas were bland and fatty and Al Pastor was meh, not bad but not great. Tortillas were very good but not enough cilantro/onion and the limes had 0 juice. That doesnt have anything to do with their cooking but details are important when doing something so simple yet delicious when done right. The flautas were out of this world! 10/10 SO good. The gordita was good and big for the price but I think it would have been perfect with their chicken.I'll come back for the gorditas but filled with chicken and would honestly try other things with chicken as the protein.

This tiny restaurant is hidden in a small square beside all the hoopla of Cedar Mill crossings. You enter into a store selling a lot of Mexican snacks - chips, candy, drinks etc. Further in is a small restaurant with 6-7 tables. The kitchen looks really big though and the menu is pretty big too. You place your order at the store front check-out and then take a seat in the restaurant out back. You bus your own tables. We ordered some tacos and flautas de Papa. Tacos were delicious. The beans and rice that came with the flautas were some of the best I've ever had. Place is clean, service is quick. I'm going to spread word about them for sure.

Many taco trucks have way better food. I didn't like eating in the back of a market. Seemed odd to say the least and employees weren't friendly.

I enjoyed a burrito with pastor. Bits of pineapple and their hot sauce brought much happiness…

Best birria that I've had in Oregon, like ever. Friendly staff too. They are my go to place

I love eating at La Chabelita, authentic Mexican food I am from Mexico and I love that I can also get my goodies (salsa, chips, spicy candies) in there! Just an update: the kitchen closes at 9 everyday!

hidden gem. the best mexican always looks like it comes from the back of the gas station. I got al pastor with cheese, grilled onions, and cilantro. I'd recommend ordering chips to scoop the extra filling. Best burrito I've had in Portland so far.

Great burrito! Love how it's a little shop to shop then get to the back and it pops open as a little cafe/restaurant area! Cool feel to it !

We ate there yesterday afternoon and ordered 8 tamales—4 extra to take home because I read positive reviews. They were TERRIBLE. Dry, cold inside, and barely any meat. We took two bites and walked out. We didn’t even ask for the extras we’d ordered to take home. We were also overcharged by $1.00 per tamale. I wish I’d read ALL of the reviews before eating here. What a disappointment and huge waste of money.

Some of the BEST mexican food i've ever tasted. It's located in the back of a market, small but cozy. the menu is full of options and the workers are very friendly and quick! this is the most authentic mexican i've had since moving out of california 11 years ago. i recommend anything with their shredded chicken in it--and don't forgot to top it off with their green salsa....yum!

I love this taqueria for having so many vegetarian options!! Everything I've tried has been super tasty and affordable with good portions. The huevos rancheros a la michoacana is my favorite breakfast. The restaurant is small but this place is legit.Vegetarian options: The menu on their website has a whole section just for vegetarian dishes.
