I walked in and waited a couple of minutes until I was served, there was no one in line, I ordered an iced Sasquatch which is suppose to have dark chocolate, coconut, and hazelnut. It use to be one of my favorite drinks but I think they made me something similar to a Mexican mocha. Went to use the restroom while I waited on my drink and the toilet was filthy with what looked like someone totally missed the bowl.

I am new to town and was so excited for an organic coffee shop option but unfortunately all three times I’ve tried it, service has been awful. The man who works there is rude and short and has no customer service skills. I tried kindly talking to them and unfortunately next visit, I received the same rude service from the same person. Not a friendly atmosphere at all.

If I could score this place a 0 I would. Went in for an interview before the holidays, was told I’d be called after the holidays and was not contacted at all even with a decline. Very unprofessional. The manager took a personal phone call during my interview and the front of house manager was condescending and rude. The interview was far too long for a barista position and was also potentially a second interview sort of situation? What a waste of time. Would never go to this place for coffee or a job, and don’t recommend it to anyone. When it was the edge it was just as bad, the new name didn’t serve for any positive changes.

Schmoopie and I were inside this coffee roaster a few times. I didn't like it. There's not enough other items in the menu. I asked for a cup of steamed milk twice. I was told there wasn't any milk. The person who ordered after I did got milk in their coffee. I was told a few times that there was seating outside when I was waiting for my coffee to be crafted. I replied... "I'm local." There was a random younger white man who showed up and stared at the person who was taking my money one afternoon. That woman was creeped out by him. He ended up getting escorted out by the owner who showed up and asked me if I had a punch card. Itoold the owner... "She couldn't find it." I was then told that the punch cards weren't supposed to be That difficult to locate. I was given my punch card... and an extra punch. I showed my receipt to the owner. The person who was cleaning the restrooms asked me why so many people ordered the Mocha. I told him that there's a phenomena of people rdereding a "run of something" once they know about it... and that that (a run of something) happens when many people know about a thing or item. I gave an example. The person cleaning the restrooms said... did I need a straw to stir my coffee. I replied... I bring a stir stick with me from somewhere else. He asked... "Where did you get it?" I replied... with the address of the other coffee shops. When I was leaving to wait inside the 7-11... I was stopped by the woman at the counter. She said...."What do I do about the baby..." I replied,..."Probably give it a good home and a bed or a crib." I think she meant that she was pregnant... but,... I'm not 100 percent sure. I didn't go back again when she was working. She seemed to have these difficult manners to interpret... none of the co-workers could figure out what she was talking about. Maybe it's a dog or a cat. Some people think of their pets as humans or family members. That woman used to show up on her days off to harass me. The owner probably doesn't know why... I asked the other counter person about her showing up two or three times. Maybe she's from somewhere else and hasn't ever met a Black person before. I had a lot of acid one afternoon after I drank my coffee. I called when I arrived home. I was told that they roast only dark roast. Four times the cup of coffee that Schmoopie ordered wasn't made to his liking. It also had some grounds n the bottom of his paper cup. I bought a few gifts for a friend of Schmoopie's. And then there was a run on those... and there weren't anymore for sale. I did ask the owner if she was going to have more made. She said they weren't selling. There wasn't security during any of the interactions (or transactions with any of the drunk people inside either). I asked one of the Portland Police officers who showed up looking for a different person with a warrant what th first name on the warrant was. He said the criminals' first name is Scott. The patrol car was parked across the parking lot in one of the only available spots. I wasn't surprised at the number of police officers who ordered coffee drinks that afternoon. I didn't know that the warrant was for four or five counties. I watched the news on a different channel. Apparently, all the Portland Police officers who arrived wanted the same coffee drink and the coffee shop sold out in a few minutes. I took the MAX from southeast Portland, Oregon. Sometimes, I arrived too late for a meet up with Schmoopie. I called him to apologize and I asked him if there was a group of people at his work that did something else. He said yes. I asked him if he'd feel comfortable sharing a table with them when they did whatever it is that they do. He said he wouldn't feel comfortable. I figured out what those other co-workers were doing.

Great coffee, large selection of pastries (my friend and I shared a puff pastry filled with apple - it was delicious).Nice ambience with comfortable seating. A great place to meet a friend and have a chat.

This is a cozy place to get some really lovely coffee. They just introduced a new medium roast bean that is delicious and fruity; I highly recommend grabbing a cup.

The place had a nice atmosphere and service but the marionberry pie didn't taste very good. I also order hot chocolate and it tasted really bland, I couldn't taste the chocolate.

Let me preface this saying I've probably been spoiled by various Portland area cafes and wonderful baristas.I heard good things about this cafe from friends when I moved out here and gave it several tries but I found service lack luster and often I didn't get what I ordered or expected (ex: a chai latte without the latte even after being asked about milk options). They had some good food options but they often didn't heat them up. It's not the worst but the service really felt kind of lacking.Updated Review.Service has improved some. Offerings have improved some. Seems like they are inconsistent about carrying komubcha. Some of the specials were pretty meh. But it's become our go to cafe again. I like the art they've been putting up.

Have been here several times, when I visit the TUALATIIN HILLS NATURE PARK and was referred by a staff member.-Yesterday was the worst coffee I have had at any coffee shop in the US.-Perhaps the staff are understaffed and exhausted from working too many shifts?-With the good reviews on here this shop obviously has a loyal following.-So what was I not satisfied with?-The scone tasted like a dried expired biscuit you get at a fast food diner.-The 16oz 2 shot Mocha tasted like a blend of a hot chocolate and Folgers coffee you get at a fast food diner. It was pretty bad. Have been here several times, next time and here on out no more taking references from staff anywhere.-Oh well, life goes on…as long as your other customers are happy that’s all that matters.-On a side note, the customer service would score a 1/5. I was there on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and 2 young people were working there.-Thanks but no thanks.
