We stopped by Avid on Monday evening and had a great experience. First of all, great location and great service - our dogs loved hanging on the patio with us. But second, and important to me, their cider is great. We enjoyed a flight as well as a full pour. Every cider is named/described well and we loved that it honors the fruits in the area. My favorite was the Watermelon Burn but you can’t go wrong. Fingers crossed for a hopped cider on our next visit.

I am so sad to be giving anything less than 5 stars to my favorite cider company. Background: I have been a loyal Avid Cider customer for several years. I live in Portland where the flavors are limited, so whenever I’m in Bend I always make sure to stop at the taproom to try new flavors and take home multiple cases of my favorites. I have always had a wonderful experience and I love the atmosphere. This weekend: My friend and I were camping near town, so we headed to the taproom and participated in a cider tasting. We picked our favorites and decided we would return to pick up some cases before heading out of town since we didn’t have anywhere cold to store it.Tonight: Is Saturday night. Since we were leaving early in the morning, we had to pick the cider up tonight. We left our campsite SPECIFICALLY for the purpose of picking up this cider - we had no other errand to run. Avid Cider website says the taproom closes at 11:00pm. I walked in at 10:05pm. There were people still enjoying the patio, but inside all the chairs were up and a man with dark hair and a mustache appeared to be closing out his till. He barely looked up from what he was doing and flatly let me know they were closed. I mentioned the time, and in an irritated tone he said something along the lines of, “Yeah, we are having staffing issues so we are closing early tonight.” l explained my situation and desperation and asked if there was any way I would be able to quickly make a purchase to go. He looked at me blankly and said, “Nope, already closed out the till, SORRY” (Throughout our exchange he emphatically said “sorry” multiple times in a very disingenuous way - it was more like dismissive, contemptuous, condescending). He said, “We open at 12 tomorrow”. I said, “We are leaving at 6am”. I got another exaggerated, insincere “SORRY”.Not only was I so disappointed to leave empty-handed; but I was also disappointed in this behavior toward customers. I left feeling actually angry, and undervalued, and like I never waned to go back there again. Such a bummer because this is going to leave a bad taste in my mouth for future visits. And he missed out on at least $80 in sales.

The bartender asked us if we wanted sweet or tart and brought us both the most amazing cider drinks!

Huge selection! Delicious ciders. Friendly service and they allow dogs inside which is a huge bonus, especially when looking to escape the heat.

We loved the ciders here. Apricot Peach cider and Peach Bellini Seltzer were our favorites. Did the Grand Slam flight of 12 samples.

Friendly staff, atmosphere highlights Bend's fun culture. Their ciders are yummy and sweet, occasionally they get creative with flavors which is always fun. Nice spot for a cider or beer or even for a to-go case!

Cider and bingo! Cider places are challenging to find, so finding this place was a lovely surprise! Ciders were delicious and lots of options. Had the flight and played bingo! Bathrooms were clean and enjoyed the free popcorn. Lots of places to sit and you can buy cider cans to go! Would recommend for cider lovers!

First of all, I'm just gonna say it I've always love AVID!! so this is probably a pretty biased review and I was super happy to be able to stop in to one of their pubs to be able to grab a bunch of their items. Now me and the lady are super lightweight and we don't really drink often, so just by sharing a large flight we were well on our way to the food carts down the street if you know what I mean... Now sometimes you go and you try a flight and you just like a handful and then you grab a bigger version of it and that's it... Sometimes you go to a really good place where you just can't figure out which one you like the best because they are all so good... This is one of those places all of them are good just one after another after another not too sweet, which is a big bonus for me and they just do it right. Great cute little location absolutely perfectly placed in town and whenever you're visiting. It's in that perfect little walking area to where you can get everything accomplished but you d ever want. We were on a little vacation from Portland and this was definitely one of the fun spots that we all continue going back to. Absolutely amazing.

Delicious cider flights, popcorn, pool tables, video games and nice bartenders. What more could you ask for.

First time here, came with friends who had been here before and thought we would like it, and they were correct! Loved all of their cider. Cool atmosphere and great patio! My favorite was the Dusk to Dawn slushee! So GOOD!! The Jungle Juice slushee and cider was fantastic too. Service was friendly and welcoming! We liked it so much we came back twice! Totally recommend!!!

Great selection of cider at a very reasonable cost, and the team was super friendly. Plus, they have popcorn and arcade games

I'm not a huge beer fan, let me start there. Usually, when I go to breweries with my husband, I look for a cider for this reason. The ciders at these breweries always feels like an afterthought, and you can taste the beer-ness in them. It's like they brewed a beer with a little bit of Apple and called it a cider. Not a great experience. So I was stoked when I saw that there was a cidery (is that a word?) in Bend and knew we had to visit. WOW. The cider here is not an afterthought at all. She is the main character. With flavors like watermelon jalapeño and jungle juice, these ciders are the drama. I did a taster flight because obviously there was no way I could decide on one. There was lot a single flavor I didn't love. I was obsessed from the first sip. These ciders are fruity and delicious with depth and flavor profiles unlike any other cider I've had. Their flavors do change out as well since they have a seasonal flavor. When we were visiting, that was the watermelon jalapeño and I bought a growler of that. They sell the more regular flavors in cans and you can get single or multi flavor 6 packs or multipacks - they are stocked in their fridges and against the back wall. Absolutely a must stop visit, and I've already asked the staff to please start getting these ciders in more grocery stores in other states!
