I have been a patron of Townshend for years, in their various locations and online. I was visiting Bend this weekend and was very bothered by their service. They have closed their bathrooms to patrons. I am very pregnant and explained that I had to pee and had already ordered tea. The staff admitted that the other restaurants and coffee/tea shops in town have their bathrooms open to guests during covid, but that their establishment had made the choice to not offer. Very disappointing.
We usually purchase their kombucha bottles in grocery stores. Since we were in Bend, we decided to visit their physical location. We ordered Clear Mind and Ginger Lemon. Enjoyed it while floating the Deschutes River. Refreshing and relaxing. What more can a person ask for?

The Boba tea I got here was not very good. The tapioca pearls were mushy and it didn't taste like they used the coconut milk I requested. No seating available at all (on past visits I have enjoyed the seating and atmosphere) due to Covid19 rules, so I didn't taste the tea until I was unmasked and in my car; otherwise I would have asked for a re-do.
