We had a reservation for 7:15 p.m. When we got there we were told that there was a 25-minute wait. Overbooking is not acceptable in the airline business and it's not acceptable in the restaurant business. We took our business elsewhere.

Food is decent; better than most places of this type.But order online and you will pay. My recent order totaling $28 in food had $4 tacked on for a service fee and a surcharge, whatever those things are.That's a hefty fee for using an online service that saves both time and labor cost for the restaurant.

Came here for a date night and made a reservation two days before. I got a confirmation text message, but when we got there my reservation was not in the system. I couldn't pull up the text message, because I had just got a new phone and the message was on my old phone. Moral of the story don't trust the reservation system. I was really looking forward to a great meal.Thank you for choosing CHI, your reservation for 2 is confirmed for 6:30 PM on 2-09-2024. We will contact you about this reservation with any question. Food is above par in Bend. The 3 stars reflect its metropolitan like pricing. Server was friendly but my party walked away with a bad taste in our mouth. I selected Chi to celebrate Chinese new year eve with friends. Know it would be super busy so made a reservation and anticipated a busy night. What I did not expect is that after we checked in at 5:50 pm and was told it would be 5-10 min, the 5-10 min turned into 50 minutes. The hostesses (especially the two younger male gentlemen) seemed oblivious to the situation. It was a busy.night sure. But if you can't honor your reservations you should not take them, or at least tell your guests what to expect and try to make them at home. The cold shoulder is not the way to start a dining experience with your guests. I am sure Chi is doing well financially. However, instead of becoming an all around great restaurant that people care about and support, I don't think I want to go down the rabbit hole again given the year of the rabbit is about to end. Management and owner need to figure out how to manage its reservations. If you are going to take them, honor them. If not, don't. Or at least tell people what to expect when they do make one. We honor your business with our wallets and support, the least you can do is honor our time and provide good service.

This place is really great. The dining ambience is great and comfortable. There is a lot of staff and they are fast and friendly. The food is is really tasty and they have gluten free options on many of the dishes which we require in my family. There is a higher price/smaller that other restaurant options, but I feel the quality makes up for this and the fact that they offer gluten free options and great dining experience, outweighs price.I definitely recommend.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options which make it easy to dine with family members with restricted diets.
