Big E's allows the Bend Ukulele group to meet there in a separate room weekly at no charge. Food and drinks are available to purchase from the bar. The group also encourages it's members to order food and drinks, plus they take donations for Big E's as a thank you.

Order two Reuben sandwiches. Me and wife, the corned beef tasted like chemicals , (I was actually expecting to get sick) as if they didn't rinse the grill, the sauerkraut was disgusting. I will not give these guys another chance. The other owners did a better job with food.

What the hell happened to this place? We are regulars...or used to be I should say. To be treated so rudely and it wasn't even busy! After being blown off twice we left. We will never be back. Wish the old owner was still there.

I am a weekly participant of Bend Ukulele Group. We continue to be graciously welcomed every Tuesday evening. I walk through the door and immediately smell the wonderful food (and drinks) offered by Big E. There IS a "Big E" with a heart to match. Word is they have a great breakfast too!

Went to this place at 7:30 on a Saturday night and they were closing because “it was slow” there were several other customers who were kicked out or wanting to go in and the person at the door was rude stating they were closing because they were slow. We tried to enter through the side door and was told we should see the sign that was on the inside of the door stating please use other door. Lots of upset customers! Owner shouldn’t allow employees to choose when to close their business. We went to hideaway instead and it was much friendlier!

If you want to eat or get a drink served at your table, be prepared to wait a long, long time. Had a reservation in advance for a group. The table reserved was short 3 seats, it took an hour+ to get our orders placed. We gave up getting service so went to the bar for our own waters. The staff was completely disorganized and the owner didn't seem to care less that most tables weren't even getting drinks much less food while he sat at the bar drinking. Food orders sat in the kitchen window for about 15 minutes on average before anyone served them. The issues go on. It took about 30 minutes to get food, so 1-1/2 hrs total. The food wasn't worth the wait. Won't go back.

Not very friendly. My dad and I ordered the Bloody Mary and it's supposed to come with a skewer of cheese, meet and veggies. When the server got back with the Mary's there was just a single sad olive garnish. She apologized and said they ran out of the skewers really fast that day. Then she said "I guess I could try and make you one... When I get time...". I said yes please that would be great as it was half the reason I ordered that drink. Fast forward almost one hour and I'm still waiting on the skewers and our food as well. Now it's Sunday and it's relatively busy. However they were well staffed with 6 or 7 employees and not a single one of them was moving around with any haste. So not grabbing a stick and poking a cube of cheese, a cube of meat, and a couple of pickles for an HOUR is ridiculous. I know exactly how many SECONDS it takes to make garnishes for Bloody Mary's. Take a look at the picture and imagine how long that would take to put together. She did finally bring it after an hour, of course I'm done with my drink at that point. But I do believe that is why she waited so long, to punish me for asking for the garnish that should have come in the first place. Now let's talk food. When that finally arrived, shortly after the longest Bloody Mary skewer in history, it was all terrible. The hash browns on all 3 plates of food were raw and cold (my plate is pictured). Notice the lack of color on the hash browns plus everything was cold. My boyfriend's bacon was cooked so much that it actually shattered into tiny pieces when he touched it. Of course when we pointed these things out it wasn't received well. She did bring out another tiny plate of slightly more cooked hash browns. Enough for a half order not three like we had at the table. Just overall really terrible experience and will NEVER GO BACK. You shouldn't either!
