Even though the service is insanely slow, the riverfront outdoor area is amazing. In fact, Looney Bean gets two stars just for the location. Sadly, that means only two stars for the remainder of the experience. The coffee is fair (aka, an improvement on Starbucks), but the service is sloth like, and "special" orders (think "no foam") are beyond the capacity of the baristas (two days in a row). That being said, there are few places to enjoy a cup of Joe with a view like Looney Bean!

Absolutely love this place! Sarah the manager was one of the sweetest people and helped return to me a lost purse that I had left behind. I also love that you can order coffee and merch from the site - such a great experience!

Coffees were really good! Definitely try a special. Breakfast sandwiches were enjoyable but not as stand out as their coffee. Outside area is really nice to watch the river and sip coffee.
BEST dirty chai in Bend!! hands down, and I’ve tried nearly all of them ha + espresso whip on top! oof! The baked goods and burritos are also fire!!! 20/10 obsessed w this spot.

I love coming here whenever I visit Bend. The Dirty Hippie (chai latte w/espresso) is my fav! The employees are really nice andThere's seating outside next to the river. The outdoor area is dog friendly, they just need to stay on leash.
