Used to be better! Took the fam to Sun River on Galveston last night. Adjusted menu that is majority sliders. I miss the salads that you could turn into a wrap, curry, even their pretzel has downsized. Pretty apparent they are cutting costs. Also, hate to say it, but it smells like B.O. all over the restaurant, no joke.Used to love this place, so did our kids. I will keep buying Rippin' from Newport, but not going back unless they revamp for the better.

Joe is the best bartender hands down!! We love coming here and always get amazing service. The food is always delicious and the beer is fantastic! The fried cauliflower is my favorite! We even saw the manager feed a homeless gentleman one day when it was incredibly cold outside. These are types of local businesses that we love supporting!! 5 stars every time we go.

Would love an explanation of the changes happening at Sunriver Brewing. During lunch, we were told that there had been a flood and that a new menu and some other changes and processes were coming. The menu consisted mostly of sliders and flatbreads. Our group ordered the Cowboy Mash sliders, the Falafel Sliders and a Mushroom Flatbread. We waited quite some time before getting our items. Had to ask for napkins, was explained to again how new processes were taking place and that normally napkins were already on the table. Each slider plate had 2 bitty sliders, and a small sauce carafe of fries. I had 9 half sized fries in mine, same with the other plate in our group. Someone at the bar area was questioning the size of the fries as well, for a 15.00 plate. We ordered an extra side of pepper fries that our server forgot we even ordered and when he was reminded of it, out pops a small plate of fries with pepper sprinkled on it. No sauce that was going to accompany the fries.. just a sad little plate of pepper sprinkled fries. I guess that WAS the description after all.. pepper fries. Sounds like the mushroom flatbread tasted good, but small. I’ve noticed that management seems to only respond to good reviews and since mine is a very so-so review, I won’t hold my breath for a response.. I would like to know though, what new processes are coming to light. I hope they are better things to come than what we experienced at our lunch.

Fish and Chips 18 dollars. Seriously? How does food like this even leave this kitchen?

Very quaint brewery with a fun “award winning” selection of brews! We got the Hef and a flight of IPAs and every single one of them was delicious. Lauren was our server and she was an absolute delight. The food was delicious with a great combination of textures and flavors. We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato basil bisque alongside the Wagyu Sliders with pepper bacon jam (which made the mini burgers SING!). Wonderful experience overall and would suggest you try them out! Additional props to the crew for showing up during a blizzard!!! Much appreciated. Thanks again!

"Chicken pot pie" is more like frozen vegetables with random Chicken pieces in cold gravy, with a floating biscuit... fish and chips were good, even though the batter was burnt...good salad though.Had to wait to go to the bathroom because they share with BOSA (BOSA must have been busy?) I couldn't tell if they had the heat on. (The pot pie won't warm you up)Haven't been super impressed since covid.. on the plus side...Haven't had a bad beer, and service has always been decent. Eastside pub has been excellent.

Ordered a burger with no chz crispy bacon. Coins out smothered in cheese. Next one has cold floppy bacon and a rock hard bun. Seems server's and kitchen don't care about the customer. Manager was very nice. Probably the last time there.

Awesome vegan burger! I usually share pics, but it looked so delicious I totally forgot ? And the service was great.

We had our rehearsal dinner event at the Sun River Galveston Pub and they made sure it was the most amazing night! Their service was next level and I was so impressed. From the planning process all the way to the end of the event they were the most amazing staff to work with. Ian was our main person we were working with and he really went above and beyond. The amount of times our guests raved about the service has been crazy but 100% true! I seriously have not been to an event or a place that had that amazing and friendly of service. UNMATCHED!! Highly recommend this place to go to dinner, for drinks for your next event!

We had high hopes for this brewery, and were very disappointed with our experience. They were super friendly when we arrived, but then they “forgot our ticket” and we waited around for almost 45 minutes for our food. The table next to us who ordered nachos at least 25 minute after we did received theirs first — that’s when our server told us about our ticket getting lost. (Not sure why they didn’t compensate our “lost order” by giving us our neighbors’ order of nachos?) We have a 14-month-old who was on great behavior for the hour we were there drinking our beers (tasty beers!), but he reached his limit by the time our neighbors’ food arrived, so we had to leave before our “lost ticket” was recovered. A manager should step in to comp the entire meal when something like this happens (they did comp our nachos but not the rest of our food that we had to take to go). Very disappointing.

The beer tasted like bad homebrew, if the brewer at least knew how to brew, but was limited to one varietal of hops, and liked to use way too much, and boil it for far too long. The food was decent. We noticed most everyone else there was just drinking water with their food. Such a waste of a brewery. The scottish tastes like a Sam Adam's clone and everything else tastes like Bridgeport.

Great patio vibe after a long day outside. Come for the beer but stay for the nachos! Whether it's just a snack or you're a nacho snob, you won't be disappointed.
