If you want to come here I would always expect a long wait. This bakery is located in a very popular bend neighborhood. It is heavenly frequented by large families as it is walking distance for most of them. This is a great bakery as there are so many options my favorite was their ocean roll which is one of their signatures treats. A highlight of mine is that they serve brunch type of alcoholic cocktails at this place which is rare for a bakery.

Food was very good. I really enjoyed the bacon breakfast sandwich. The bacon was juice and crispy at the same time. The egg was nice. The avocados were a nice touch to the sandwich. The beignets were yummy, different. Very airy, flight, and fluffy. The sauce that comes with the beignets was great. I wish the beignets itself were yummy on their own but the sauce balances well. The service is quite fast. It's a busy cafe. There is always a line, sometimes out the door. Tables are small like up to maybe 4 people. It's not great for a large gathering. I saw that they have an express window if you're in a hurry.

This place is delicious! A little small cafe in Bend, Oregon. If you're looking for a spot for breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend this place. There's enough street parking on the street.Service was great, friendly and fast. In this picture on the bottom, I got the bacon breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! The bacon was nice and crispy. The avocado was fresh. The poached egg was perfect. And the arugula aioli with the croissant was just perfect to finish it off. Keep up the good work with quality food and friendly/efficient service. Will definitely return back.

They serve stumptown coffee. In my mind I am raising both hands and jumping up and down. In real life I am smiling because I know I don't need to add a thing to my latte. Not a flavor, not a sugar, nothing. Good choice on coffee. I ordered many things- the lox (no capers) everything bagel. Highly suggest this. Delicious! I ordered rolls for thanksgiving, a cookie for later (which became earlier) and beignets. I managed to eat half the lox and one beignet and I was stuffed. Saving the rest for later. Loved every single bite of all the things. It was nice a crowded but the line flowed fine.

Delicious and fresh from coffee to eats! We popped in for Saturday breakfast and steady line didn't intimidate us, it was a sign that what was on the other side was sure to be worth it. We did a sampling of many things to really let it all have its moment. And of course, had a goodie bag to take home. 1. Breakfast Egg Sammie - husband loved! Anything on a croissant ups the ante2. My chicken salad on croissant was booming with flavor. That blue cheese element was a nice riff on a classic3. The fennel macaron was such a fresh take on this little French cookie 4. The cardamom vanilla morning bun was a pastry game changer! Wow! Flavor and texture on point!5. Coffees on point - even when they made a mistake they gave us a free beverage - love that service!Great spot - make a stop!

Visited to try the famous ocean roll and it did not disappoint. Sweet, sticky and flakey, pairing perfectly with some Stumptown drip coffee. French toast sticks were crispy and sweet. Really lovely side of town and nice, modern ambiance inside.

I love this behind-the-scenes location and its walk-up window. It is ideal for picking up some baked items and taking them home. With their walk-up window, you don’t have to fuss with parking and lines typical at their storefront/restaurant location in NWX.

Everything about this little bakery-cafe is top notch. Located in a super cute trendy neighborhood, the "internet cafe" style menu is a feast for the eyes when out for a nice quick breakfast plate or sandwich. The food was fresh and great quality. I was only in Bend for 4 days and I made a point of coming here twice. I loved my breakfast sandwich, but that snickerdoodle cookie was to die for!!! Several other pastries were tried with 2 thumbs up -- such as the ocean roll and ocean bread pudding!!

Being short of time, we had to resort to just a quick pick up from the location closest to our rental. My husband stopped by early, right after they had opened to place an order. The wait wasnt too long at all. We had a Cardamom latte and cappuccino for our drinks. Both very good! Our kids shared the French sticks and really loved the crispy edges and overly sweet(to us) french toasts. My husband and I both had the bacon breakfast sandwich and I really really loved its - its everything you look for in a wholesome breakfast sandwich. Not very messy but still runny egg, and very filling! We also shared an ocean roll, since that's something I had read so much about...it was cardamom-y and sticky without being cloyingly sweet. We liked it but not sure we can be as hyped about it. Nonetheless overall a killer breakfast place and a must visit

Food: 4.5 micsService: 4 micsAmbiance: 4.5 micsFood - We shared a Monte Cristo, Egg & Bacon Croissant and beignets. Presentation was simple yet elegant. Monte Cristo was a carnival of flavors. Egg & Bacon croissant was a perfected poached egg, avocado, bacon and arugula - a perfect combination. Service - Customer Service was great. Nothing above and beyond but also nothing to rave about.Ambience - Busy. Busy. Busy. This place is poppin. Be ready to look for a table. They have a couple of kids bins with book and toys. Come in. Dine, food is pretty good.

Skoosh over Ocean Roll because you have another Sparrow goodie to share my taste buds' first chair seating and it is Coconut Macaroons! I lived in Bend for almost 20 years and started buying Sparrow's great products when they were selling bread out of the kiosk on highway 97 in about 2006. I moved out of Bend in 2014 (tourist hordes and winter snow in that order were drivers) but still visit my elderly dad in Bend several times a year and Sparrow purchases are always on the list of things 'to do'. Like his favorite banana bread. We buy Sparrow treasures, including fantabulous baguette, mostly via their displays at wonderful, local Newport Avenue Market these days to avoid the sometimes crush of people at the lovely NW Crossing bakery (did I mention tourists - over 1.5 million to little Bend annually) and because my husband and I are in Newport nearly daily when we visit. I thought Sparrow's cardamom rich Ocean Roll would forever be unrivaled favorite but on my visit last week when I found Sparrow's Coconut Macaroons, sold in a box of six, at Newport Avenue Market, they tied for first. So SO good! This is the first time I've seen them to buy and I hope they are going to be in regular production because I'll have several more visits to Bend this year to look forward to buying them in multiple boxes to bring home. shop.thesparrowbakery.ne…On this visit to Bend also learned Sparrow has opened a second location in Portland. Also that they have home delivery for some items available to customers in Bend. " Home Delivery: Get your favorite Sparrow Bakery treats delivered to your home. Orders received before 12PM will be delivered between 1PM - 6PM on the FOLLOWING day. Delivery Monday - Friday. Orders received after 12PM Thur - 12PM Sun delivered Monday." You'll find the order for delivery list at this link: shop.thesparrowbakery.net
