Neat and cheerful this bakery was packed and filled with happiness. The Ocean roll was mentioned to us and it is Really something! Delicious, different and heart warming. Great crème puff too! Fun!!

Outstanding pastries! We love the Ocean Rolls, Chocolatines and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookies. Actually, everything we've ever tried is excellent.

I am a travel nurse that loves to explore on my days off. I always ask for recommendations so when I asked some Oreganians what to do in Bend..I was given an amazing refrence to try the Ocean roll at the Sparrow...so I did...and yes..way better than any cinnamon roll..very good...and I ordered a flat white coffee with Almond milk and really enjoyed that as well.

Quaint cafe and bakery in a rustic building. Delicious baked goods! The ocean roll is unusual but fantastic. Definitely get that first, then try the breakfast sandwich on the croissant. Very good. Oh and super friendly staff.

I order from Sparrow Bakery NWX using Bend Take Out and lately they have declined from a 4 star to a 2 star in my opinion. Today I ordered 2 half sweet iced oat milk vanilla bean latte's and ended up with 2 super sweet chai lattes made with milk or soy(possibly?) that I threw out, because with one taste it was obvious it wasn't my latte and was super sweet and tasted gross. Also, I am lactose intolerant and allergic to soy, so it certainly wasn't worth suffering the consequences if it was made with either one of those. Anyway, that was the straw that broke this camel's back. In previous orders, they forgot drinks, gave me hot drinks instead of cold, gave me smaller size drinks than I ordered, gave me fries that were soaked in grease and almost raw which I had to use paper towels to soak up before and after I baked them in the oven for over 30 minutes, and every time I asked for ONLY ranch dressing, they gave me all 3, 2 of which ended up in the garbage. And did I complain? No. This time I was not going to have wasted my money on 2 drinks that were not even close to what I ordered. Bend Take Out was awesome and reimbursed me because Sparrow was closed and my drinks couldn't be replaced. I am bummed out that the service and quality as suffered because I did place a lot of orders here, but sadly, no more. Another customer bites the dust.

You cannot go tired of eating their breakfast sandwiches and ocean rolls. You will want to keep coming back just for these. Their coffee is great too and the outdoor seating is just too cute to ignore.

The Scott St location has permanently closed effective Sept 6, 2021. NW location is still open, but we did not have time to visit. Another business suffering from the labor shortage.

I'm so glad I got to visit before this location closed. The Ocean roll lived up to the hype I must say. It was excellent. We had some other pastries which were delicious as well. Highly recommend!
We stopped here several times during our vacation because the cinnamon knot and non-bacon breakfast sandwiches were fabulous! I never thought I'd like a breakfast sandwich without bacon or sausage. This is going to be the thing I missed most about Bend!

Best Turkish (Cardamom) Latte I've ever had. Glad I got a large. Shared a cinnamon knot and an ocean roll with my travel pal. OUT OF THIS WORLD--so fresh and flavorful. This place is struggling during Covid. The sign said they are going to start closing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because of staffing issues. Seems to be a problem everywhere we go in Bend. They deserve to survive!

The ocean roll was very tasty. Like a cinnamon roll without the frosting but very good flavors. The location is pretty busy so expect to wait in line for a bit. It is next to a few different shops that had some interesting stuff worth looking through.
