Disappointed..... Some of the worst sushi I’ve had and I spent $33 on it . Poor quality ingredients and not fresh fish ! I feel ripped off and will never go back . Do not recommend to anyone

It's a Gem. I've been to Chi, 5 Fusion, Sora, Mio, Ronin.. These guys put their heart and soul into their rolls, decadent, delicious, and texturized. I'd highly recommend this place. Don't let the location fool you.!!!

I'm sorry I didn't walk in here sooner. I was greeted with a warm welcome and given a nice breakdown on menu/specials. The happy hour is an amazing deal! Great food and look forward to trying more.

Amazing service, incredibly friendly owner, the food is prepared and served beautifully. The food is delicious and incredibly affordable. Weekly specials and a cozy environment make for an overall wonderful dining experience for friends and family, or for dining alone

Such a great night out! All of the staff was so friendly! The food was AMAZING! And the prices were so reasonable for what we got!!

The sunset roll (special) was a combo of very unique flavors. The garnish on top adds a fresh pop to the tempura and tuna roll. Very good. The seaweed salad was very good as well. nice portions. decent pricing. Ramen was a bit standard. Overall, would recommend. Will come again. :)

Called in tonight to order take-out. The person answering the phone put me on a brief pause, and then told me that they do not do take out on Mon. She was nice but I didn't receive a reason why take out was not possible. Weird. I ordered take out previously on a Fri night without issues. Food was good too. Bummer bc we (my pregnant wife, my 2 yr old and I) really had a hankering for some Tomo. Maybe next time we'll give it a shot again but definitely will think twice.

The staff at Tomo is useless. Don't even bother. I had to convince my wife to try this place since it's the closest restaurant to our house but had not so great reviews. Big mistake. We walked in at 8:20pm on Saturday night. After waiting for 5 minutes watching the waitress set two tables and disappear into the kitchen, we were finally told that they wouldn't serve us because they 'ran out of rice for the night' ... said we came too close to closing at 9pm.

Hands down some of the best sushi I've ever had. It's that diamond in the rough. Never had a bad dish, The staff is friendly and helpful. The chefs are amazing hands down some of the best people I've ever met. The quality of the food is phenomenal. Regardless of the situation when you walk in well worth the wait and always greeted with a smile. Well done tomo!!

NEGATIVE STARS. Despite highly mixed reviews, we decided to give Tomo a chance so we could have a nice date night. Unfortunately, we should've paid attention to their many, many negative reviews. Tomo closes at 9, and we walked in about a quarter past 8. There were two other couples dining in their small, unimpressive dining space. They both appeared to be wrapping up their meals. Fairly immediately, a waitress shouts to us she'll be with us in a minute. No problem. She goes back into the kitchen, then returns to the dining space and starts setting the empty tables, never looking at us or acknowledging us. Assuming she was getting a place ready for us, we patiently waited and observed. She busied herself with other things, then ambled her way back into the kitchen. Around this time, another young boy in shabby shape approaches us and just says, as if almost distressed, "One second!", to which we say, "ok...", starting to think of all those warning reviews on Google and Yelp we should've heeded. Said boy disappears back into the kitchen as well. We never saw him again. At this point, around 5 minutes have passed. Eventually, waitress appears and goes, "The chef is out of rice and we can't serve you. You showed up when we're about to close." WE SHOWED UP 40 MINUTES (which is almost an hour!) BEFORE YOU CLOSE, and this is how you choose to treat us? Leave us waiting, unacknowledged, only to let us know you don't want to serve us because we showed up almost an hour before you close?! This is not Bend hospitality, and you know it. I ran this by several friends that work in the food service industry here and they were shocked at how this was handled. Let me guess, you guys had a slow night and wanted to leave early, and no manager was there to tell you otherwise. Even if the rice incident were true, it was completely mishandled. Basic people/communication skills are not what you will find at Tomo. We let the waitress know we would never be back, called a cross-town rival, also closing at 9, who cheerily said they would HAPPILY seat us (and we arrived about 20 minutes before their closing after Tomo wasted our time). We enjoyed excellent service, outstanding food, and the best date night we could've hoped for. Tomo has an incompetent staff, crappy interior, and a sketchy gas station location. My sincerest advice - go elsewhere.

We went there for their happy hour on a Monday. Its it kind of oddly located in a gas station parking lot. We arrived at 7pm, and every table was full. We didn't get a seat (for 2) for at least 30 minutes. When we did finally get a seat the server brought us a free large sake to apologize for the wait. The customer service was good, food was average, but the location itself was awkward.

Will never eat here again. Their service has gone way down hill. I kept going because the food and deals are decent but get used to waiting 20 minutes for your check and never getting a refill. The staff just doesn't want to work. The final straw was getting turned away at 8:01 pm when they close at 9. I went as a solo person just wanting to sit at the bar. They had two full tables open and the entire bar open. Come if you want decent sushi at a decent price but don't expect a thing from the wait staff. The sushi chefs are good. I feel sorry they have to put up with their staff.

Overall very polite and friendly staff, everything is clean, their lychee sake is very yummy, and it is difficult to not admire their bamboo wall. The sashimi is fresh, I did not partake in the seared salmon nigiri, but my parents who were with me said it was delicious; everything was also very nicely plated. It was a great experience and recommend it to anyone craving some sushi!

This restaurant is not welcoming to single people. I've eaten here once on my own at the sushi bar and had a subpar experience as far as service (ignored for 10-15 minutes before anyone would even speak to me or take my order, and then ignored completely for the rest of the visit) and tonight I tried to come in again and was completely surpassed at the host stand because there was a couple standing behind me. The manager literally walked past me to talk to them. News flash: My husband doesn't eat sushi. It's something I enjoy on my own when he's out of town. Won't bother to try to do that again at Tomo. A bummer because the food is not bad.
