Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler Pet Friendly • $$$
299 SW Portage Rd, Cascade Locks

“Driving through Cascade Locks, the sudden appearance of the stern wheeler prompted us to embark on an unplanned journey. Inside, the warm ambiance and reasonably priced, amazing bar service enhanced the experience. There was also a small food menu, but we decided not to indulge and instead focus on the scenery. The captain's informative commentary added depth to the picturesque views. The the option to walk around the entire vessel allowed us to explore and fully embrace the charm of the cruise. This spontaneous adventure—scenery, warmth, narration, delightful drinks, and the freedom to explore—made it truly unforgettable.“

Food-wise, there were two burgers and the fried chicken sandwich ordered at our table. I had the White Cheddar Bacon Jam burger and let me tell you, AMAZING! The fries were excellent as well. One last comment on the food. The lemonade is hand pressed and oh my was it delightful. Our server was super kind. I'm an hour away from here and can't wait to go back.“

“An absolute gem. I had the best strawberry cidar ever (usually they are too sweet- this one was not and it was 6.9%!). The lady/owner? Let me know there is a rotating tap and I love that because I love trying new beers. We had also ordered the pepperoni panini on pretzel bread and it was FANTASTIC. Great service, great local spot. If I lived in the area I'd be popping up here. Definitely give it a shot. I was super impressed with this place.“

“Great little taco truck off the main road in Stevenson. I was just passing thru and was looking for a McDonald's to get a quick cheap breakfast sandwich and am glad I pulled in here instead. Just got a couple of Street Tacos for $3 each ($4 for lengua). The Pastor Tacos weren't my favorite but the lengua was excellent, and the portion of meat was very generous, with just the Classic cilantro & onion toppings.“

“The food here is outstanding. Our server was outstanding. I know this is probably more of a local place than a tourist destination , but our families came here to get away from the Skamania Lodge restaurant and have a decent meal. And this place did not disappoint! The fish and chips were amazing with a very light but crunchy batter on the fish. We got more french fries than we could possibly eat. The onion rings were very very good and not overly oily. I have never had such robust jalapeno poppers in my life as they are covered in all kinds of cheese and meat. They could be a meal on their own. The burgers were good for the kids as they all gobbled them down. And the small flatbread pizzas are actually really good as they aren't too big and they taste great. If you are a fan of Bloody Maries, I highly suggest trying their Bloody Mary. It is a meal in itself. I don't believe I've seen so much stuff attached to a beverage in my life! And as much as I am not a fan of loud live music in a small venue, we were able to dodge the live band and have our meal before they started playing. Tip these folks well... They are worth it!“
