“Traveling throughout Coos Bay to the Sand Dunes we love trying restaurants out of the tourist areas. This spot is as local as you can get, located 100 feet from the major seafood processors you can't get it any fresher. They have Cod, Oysters, Scallops, Calamari Rings, Shrimp, etc. Everything was great, Fried of Course, quick service and food. Ambience is of a rustic diner on the docks.“

“02/14/24. Hasn't changed, still the best from florence, reedsport, winchester bay and coosbay. The make a good ribeye for beef lovers great Australian lobster tail and escargo.May 2021. Had a dish called the Coquille.. OMG good.. Out of over 8,000 reviews I have possibly 10 resturants that have five stars. Well, I added this one today.First off, our waitress was Cheryl or Sheryl. She answered alot of questions about where the seafood comes from and gave her opinion of what she liked most. A couple I asked about she haden't tried but I wanted to know if they would make the shrimp with scallops and a white sauce rather than tomatoe base and she said yes.We had the captains platter, everything was delicious and so soft on flavor that we didnt use cocktail or tartar sauce. It was all tender and the scallops litterally melted in your mouth. I appreciated that it wasnt soaking in grease too.We had deepfried crab legs, a crab cocktail and clam chowder for starters. It was all delicious and the only thing I would have liked to have had was a little more flavor in the chowder. The clams were tender, flavorfull and not one bite of sand.We cant wait to go back and have Australian lobster tail when they have it and the afforementioned custom dish. It is a bit pricey but worth every dime. If Long Johns is your idea of seafood you will change your mind if you eat here.I update my reviews as I go back and review other dishes or the ones Ive had before looking for consistantcy so check them again. Rate them if you would. I like to hear that I am helping people and making them happy.“
“My go to every day for my Oyster fix for the few months of the year that we are here. I gave them my winning private recipe for Aussie style Oysters Kilpatrick and they said they would give it a go so watch this space. As an Australian, I know it's going to be a winner. As it is already, their oysters are the best in America and I've travelled the globe searching for the freshest Oysters. Moon rocks here are grown and harvested themselves and to sit and watch it all on the Bay is my idea of heaven. Fish and chips is good too but my husband is hooked on their Toasted Cheese sandwiches. Or Cheese Toasties where I'm from. Actually best I've ever had.“

“Best sushi on the Oregon Coast. Impressive sake selection, local wine offerings, perfect tempura. Humble and charming, will be working my way through their menu until it bores me, but that seems unlikely to happen. Try the Empire roll.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, comfortable atmosphere. My 1-year old nephew was made welcome.“

“I was hanging out with some friends in the area and decided to grap some lunch. This place was highly recommended by one of the locals so we decided to give it a try. The place had a nice atmosphere and very friendly service. They had several tv's and a nice bar. They also have a nice fireplace. We had the fish and chips (cod). It was fresh and cooked perfectly. The service was top-notch. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. We will be returning when we are in the area.“

“Husband and I traveled to the Coos Bay Area for his 69th birthday in September. Went to the Hilltop to celebrate. The meals were amazing. Had halibut and lobster tail. Carrot cake and layered dark chocolate cake followed. Window seat to the bay and memories. Coming back in Nov. for my 68th birthday. It was that good.“

“My family and I were visiting this week and really enjoyed our dinner. Super friendly service, all of our food was food, the view was great and the beer was better than I expected. You never know what you’re getting at a small brewery you haven’t been to before but the two beers I had were solid. Nice work guys!“

“Good food but extremely long wait time, 20 mins to get menues and another 10 to finally place order, 45-60 minutes to get food. The service needs to be quicker in all aspects. The building needs some upgrading and possible a remodel. The parking lot needs to be paved all the way. Part of the parking lot is gravel.“

“Good food friendly service, clean. The restaurant has several smaller dinning rooms and a small video poker machines room. The small heated enclosed dingy room for about 20 people (pictured) and a larger dinning room. Most food involves seafood of course. Good beer on tap.“

“We had the BEST lunch at Monkey Business, and AMAZING clam chowder bread bowls - best I’ve ever had! Loved the family friendly atmosphere and the hook and ring games on the tables. Owned and ran by a lovely local couple. It was my first time here, and I will be back every time I come to Charleston from here on out!“
