Incredible happy hour! Delicious food and great atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed the fire pits and the sun. Inside was packed so it might be smart to get there early or try to make reservations.

The food was delicious, and the service was good. They accommodated a family of 4 adults and 3 teens. Note that their serving style is is very unusual. They call it "family style", which in this case refers to not only sharing everything, but also the way they bring the food out. They bring it out as it is ready, so the food comes out in an unpredictable order. This will not be the right match for everybody! One of the adults and one of the teens commented afterwards that they didn't feel satisfied since it was a bite of this here and a bite of that there.

I discovered this place for lunch and will return for dinner and drinks. I'm rarely in the Clackamas area, but joined a former co-worker to catch up. de Fuego is a South American restaurant with a great menu and great reviews, so we gave them a try. It is a beautiful place attached to The Monarch Hotel. It has a restaurant and bar on the upper level and a steak house at a lower level. We split a bowl of shrimp ceviche that was light and delicious, followed by their meat platter of tender skirt steak, beef ribs and andouille sausage, accompanied by tiny potatoes with cheese sauce. All of the servings were very ample to share and absolutely delicious. We chatted for over two hours, with the service being efficient, but not intrusive. This will be another favorite for me with a very different menu of Chilean and Argentinian meat and vegetable dishes. There are also special events periodically offered. Had just missed a dinner celebration of Anthony Bordain's birthday.

Don't usually leave reviews, but very disappointing Father's Day event that was misadvertised( Pictures included). No live music, no celebratory drinks included like advertised I had to pay for everything separately. Even a kids juice wasn't included even though they charged $15 for his meal. The only option for drinks is coffee and soda. I think it was very overpriced. The event sounded fun as advertised which was one of the reason it was selected instead of going to a regular restaurant. As a result I spent $93 without drinks for an ok buffet. That's not even the problem when I showed the stuff the advertising to make sure I am at the right place their response was that they don't know why it's advertised that way. It seemed like a very poorly organized event, and I feel like taken advantage off.

I've been there for both lunch and brunch, and found their offerings to be both unique and delicious. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is great. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable. Frankly, I've spent more for meals at food carts sitting on hard benches in the cold. I've not yet been there for the dinner service, but for brunch offerings and lunch, Del Fuego is unbeatable.

An unexpected gem hidden in an old hotel. Fabulous food and upscale decor. Such a hidden gem we had a quiet low key brunch on a Sunday morning. I've been dreaming about the smoked ham Benedict since and I will be back to eat that again definitely stop in here, it will become one of your top favs!!

Been living in Clackamas for as long as I remember and known about this place but never gotten a chance to visit it. That all changed a couple days ago as a group of friends and I decided it was time to try it. The place is gorgeous on the insides and the food was amazing. It is a great place for a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. I recommend the Cowboy Ribeye to share between 2!

I liked the ambiance of this restaurant. I had the salmon and it was tasty. Looking forward to coming back again.

Every dish and drink we had exceeded my expectations. I would have never known about this place since it's hidden inside of the monarch hotel off the main street, so I'm glad my friends brought me! The drinks were good but not super strong, which I like. Highly recommend the angry margarita if you're a margarita lover. My skirt steak was cooked to the perfect medium rare and the chimichurri was delicious, along with the 2 other sauces that it came with. The price is also good for the generous 16oz! The salmon tartare was good and fresh with a unique sauce...nothing was overpower surprisingly. The pork belly in the max n cheese was tender, crispy and seasoned very well. I would come back to this place to try other tapas in the future. Highly recommend the food at this place.

I gave it 5 stars, but as a special occasion restaurant. This place is pricey but a lot of fun. They bring things out as they are ready which is a pet peeve of my husband because it very distracting to the flow of conversation at the table. We have five people who ordered 5 tapas plates and 4 entrees, so that was 9 interruptions instead of 2 (appetizer/entre.) Be prepared for a flow of staff running by your table with no idea who ordered what. If you can deal with that then your night should be fine. Our table had the seafood curry (it was called something much fancier than that), Houston smoke burger, ribs, salmon with risotto, fingerlings two ways, jalapeño fritters, and mussels. There were zero food complaints. My salmon/risotto was fantastic and I sampled the fingerlings and fritters. Delicious. Servers were attentive, atmosphere was intimate, presentation was too notch. The chairs we had were those curvy ones that are unkind to hippy women, but the table managed. Our bill with tip was approximately $175 and there was no alcohol consumed. We will be back on special occasions. It was a very enjoyable evening.

My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and ordered appetizer, salad and mains. After the appetizer my husband was served his main course, luke warm ribs. After 5 minutes we finally hailed down a busboy to get our server and asked where my meal was? She said "we serve it family style". A full 10 minutes later my meal arrived with the salad. Total disappointment in service and food.

Pretty fancy restaurant turns into a speakeasy after dark. The food is cooked right and the atmosphere is super romantic with private seating. The only reason I would ever return to the Monarch

This place, by far, has the best prime rib in the northwest. Their beef short ribs fall off the bone, it's that moist. Their mushroom risotto is great and the goucho bread and dipping sauce is to die for. If you like Michael Jordan's Steak House in Ilani, you will thoroughly enjoy this and love the price difference too. That's the added bonus, huge portions, smaller price.
