Went to have dinner for our sons birthday and was very happy with scything about Morelos. The food was probably the best Mexican food in the Eugene area that I've had since moving here 25 years ago from CA. We will go there from now in and the drive of 45 min from our home is worth it!

Morelos is a hidden gem in the lovely little town of Coburg. Every Friday night we enjoy wine at Hayworth Wine bar and bring dinner to the party. Morelos has a great menu, quick service and is a great spot to dine in or takeout.

Visiting Eugene thought we would try a different place. I'm sure I would skip this one if I were you. I ordered the taco salad and it was fajitas Style with Chicken, and it was horrible shell was stale and oil they cooked it in was bitter and old. My wife's Polo fiddio was cold the meat was cold the beans and rice were cold. I would skip this place it look nice on the inside and clean but the staff was not attentive and I will not be coming back here again. The waiter treated us like we weren't even there I guess you have to be a regular in order to get service there.

I took my friend to Morelos restaurant, just around the corner from me. We both enjoyed the margaritas and our entrees. We had friendly attentive service too! The interior was warm and welcoming. We will be back!

I am not happy with the food, my husband ordered 2 cheese enchilada plate to go, when he opened it up it was chicken. He said the gentlemen repeated the order back to him. The beans had a funny taste to them and the rice had no taste. I am very disappointed. I will not order from them again as well as I will not refer them to our friends. Marie

My wife and I just tried this place tonight. I have to say without a doubt it was the worst Mexican food we've ever been served. I ordered the enchiladas with shredded beef. There was very little beef in them and what there was tasted fatty. The green sauce was bland, and the rice and beans that came with it were tasteless. They served corn tortillas with our meal that were dried out and obviously store bought. Our total bill for two dinners and two small margaritas was 50.00. We are normally not the type of people to complain, but truly this was one of the worst meals we have ever been served. I politely told the server when she brought the check that I would pay the full amount, but it was totally not worth it. No apology or offer to make it right was given. Do not eat at this restaurant, all the positive reviews here must have been written by family members.

I am beginning to wonder if the only good ratings on this site are from friends and family. After reading the reviews we decided to drive to Morelos from Eugene. Save yourself the drive! Head to Tacovore downtown instead. I ordered the pork carnitas, which I have had in several other restaurants and enjoyed. Morelos carnitas were mostly fat and gristle. The 3 or 4 small bites of meat I was able to pick out of it were so sodden with rendered fat, it was inedible so I stopped trying to eat it. Bland rice, bland refried beans, okay blackberry margarita. We are not the type of people to complain about food at every restaurant we go to, but when we mentioned this to our waitress, all we got was an, "Oh, okay." No sorry about that, no let us comp your drinks, nothing. I would have been embarrassed to deliver that plate to a customer when I waitressed. Obviously, we will not go back, nor will we recommend it to anyone. What a disappointment!

When a chance arrived for us to go to Coburg, we grasped the opportunity and decided to give this place a try. We were seated promptly and looked through the menu. While looking through it I noticed that some things were not there that were in the picture section, so I guess we got the lunch menu and then got the dinner menu, which had expanded options. I look for one thing and they had it, so I ordered the pollo ala crema and son ordered enchiladas. The portions are big, so bring your appetite. The pollo ala crema was very good. One thing it had that I thought would deter me from liking it was zucchini, but it added a very good texture to the dish and maybe a little sense of eating healthy, with the rich cream sauce. My son enjoyed his enchiladas. We also ordered the deep fried ice cream after seeing a pic on it on yelp and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is really friendly... A definite place to try out.
