Editing my review from 7 years ago that said, "Great food and good and friendly service. Haven't been disappointed yet." That is mostly still true, but the place is now 50% more expensive than before (burrito that used to cost $12.50 now costs $18), no longer includes chips with takeout, and the restaurant was freezing cold that last couple times I visited. FYI, their online menu prices are not correct, so prepared to be sticker shocked if you go in thinking you know what something will cost.

I don't know if we've entered some kind of post covid era of restaurants where nobody can provide a positive experience. But this one stuck out like a sore thumb in a sea of poor experiences. I was pleased by the atmosphere of the interior, and the waiter was pleasant as well. I ordered the Flintstone steak medium to medium well. After being served the steak, it was very clear the steak was blue rare. It had a nice sear, but the inside the meat still had a pulse. I let the waiter know, and he took it back. After a short wait the steak was returned, and it was beyond well done. I'm not sure who the cook is there... But it might be time for a new one. I am beyond annoyed as to how someone could offer a 55 dollar meal with nobody on staff skilled enough to cook it. I understand that mistakes can be made, but I sent it back more than willing to let it go if it was fixed. In the end, I wasn't charged for the meal (I basically didn't eat any of it). My only positive experience was with the waiter who was on top of things checking in with me frequently. But to offer a meal over 50 dollars, and mess it up that bad is bad business. It's just a hunch, but I bet this place makes decent traditional food. But if you're coming here for a steak.. It's a no from me.

I have personally eaten there three times recently and cannot give higher marks to any restaurant anywhere. The food and service are simply the best authentic Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Thank you El Patron!!!

Been to the place couple times before and liked it but that was a while agoBig place with real nice Mexican atmosphereThough the staff were friendly but the service was so slow and not very professionalThe menu had some variety but when it comes to the food it was differentThe nachos were good but the chips was so little in it the chicken was big chunks and coldThe fajitas was really disappointing with hard chewy meat ( though there was very little meat there ) burned and very very greasy and the pan was full of oil and in the beginning it was sizzling but imagine the taste after all that oil get little coldThe Asada was tough and the taste was far from the real taste of good asadaOnly 3 tortillas given ? and we finished eating waiting for the waiter to come so we can ask him for extra tortillas but instead he came to show up with the checkThe place is huge but only 2 tables (us and one more) were occupied so can’t say it was busy at allWill not visit againDietary restrictions: Greasy heavy foodWheelchair accessibility: Easy access

I get they where unusually busy tonight but after a forty minute at the table after a twenty minute wait to get even get to the table.. all just to get a burrito stuffed full of overcooked, bland rice with whisper of the worst excuse for carne asada I have ever had in my life.. I cannot recommend this place.Decent salsa though.. stale chips.. bland flavorless beans to go with them as well.. but decent salsa.
