My best friend took me for my birthday. We had brunch and I noticed shirred eggs on the menu. I asked my friend, "What's that?" OMG ? my eggs were silky smooth swimming in a bath of butter and cream that just melted on my tongue and the spinach added the perfect earthy undertone for balance. I also ordered a German Sausage that was the perfect blend of spices. My bread was so flavorful and chewy. Everything is homemade with quality fresh ingredients and love. I was seduced by the decadent freshness! Seating is available inside and out but is limited. Get there early and expect to wait, because Sam's is a busy cafe. I promise the wait will be worth it! I left hungry for more, and will definitely go back.

This is our favorite breakfast place. The staff is always friendly.The food is reasonably priced and consistently excellent and the coffee is outstanding. They have the best gluten free pastries I have ever eaten. I always appreciate the art of various local artists. During a recent medical event while we were having breakfast the owner Sam was gracious and efficient. Did I mention great staff?

Our coffee drinks were mixed up and messed up so we asked for them to be corrected. Mistakes happen it wasn’t a big deal, however while fixing it we could hear them talking about us as if it was our fault it happened, that we ordered incorrectly, and as if we were a great inconvenience. It’s not a good look to talk poorly about customers within ear shot.

I've been using Sam's roasted coffee beans lately. I have to say it's the best quality roast on the west coast, possibly the world. They have fantastic cinnamon rolls too.

I was ready to leave before I was served any food or coffee. The frequent belittlement of the service ruined any chance of enjoying the environment and my company. There is no reason the chef/owner needs to treat the staff this way. The coffee that was made by the waiter was really good and I couldn't complain about the service of the staff.
